I hope your having another wonderful day! Since today is my birthday I decided to talk about one of my favorite anime shows today which is Danganronpa.
As you all know Danganronpa was originally a video game before it became an anime series. So far there are two season, but I think their probably going to make a third season and I’ll tell you why later on. For now looks into the show itself, the first season is about what happened before the second game ,Goodbye Despair, but after the first game. The second season shows what happened to the class, Makoto and his friends after the second game ended.

In the first season it revolves around the Hinata and the 77th class at Hopes Peak Academy. It basically shows how they all were before they met Junko Enoshima which pretty much is how they were in the game before except that they didn’t want anything to do with each other because according to the school that as long as they pass the exams they don’t need to be in class. That’s where their new and perky home room teacher, Ms.Chisa, comes in. She comes in and makes them band together so they can enjoy a perfect and awesome high school life.

Turns out though that Ms.Chisa and several other people at the school have other ulterior motives for being there, which I’m not going to spoil for you. Anyway, there are some things that I want to point out that happened in the first season. The first one being is that Chiaki was in the class too and was alive at one point. My first thought was,“How is Chiaki alive?! I thought she was just a computer program so why is she here?” Turns out those questions are solved as you keep watching the series and when you find out about Chiaki’s fate it is the most saddest thing that you will ever see. I tried not to cry for the poor girl only because I know what happens to her in the second game of Danganronpa.
The other people who caught my eye were Nagito and Hinata for obvious reasons. Nagito was already a little bit of a nutcase, but it seems he didn’t really go off the deep end until the end of the first season after encountering the one and only Junko Enoshima. So, this really cleared up some things concerning him. Hinata, on the other hand, I kind of saw coming because if you’ve played the game then you know what happens to him while he was in Hope Peak. But, it was really interesting to see how he got to that point and how someone like him ended up joining Junko’s crew even after becoming an artificial Ultimate Hope.
Last but not least, I want to talk about what happened on the last episode of the first season. The reason being because I’m super confused as hell about it and I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed this. So, on the last episode of the first season the new faces that showed up in the show and Makoto looked like they were all banding together to fight against a small army of people and helped stop another horrible tragedy and that Mikan mentions that she helped save someone from poison and that should be alright now. Right after that person (which I believe to be Kyoko) walks out and surprises Makoto to show that they are actually alive and well.
Now here’s why I’m confused as hell, that episode shows what happens after the second season ends, right? But, in the second season Makoto, Kyoko, Ashina and the new faces from the previous season have to endure a second killingĀ game in where most of these characters and Kyoko die. How could that be when they were shown in the teaser episode showing them fighting against a common enemy that was supposed to be in the last episode of the second season? Can someone explain that to me please? For now, I’m going to assume that the creators made that episode but then reconsidered later on in the series and decided to kill them off instead.
The second season is what I said before a killing game in which we finally get to see Monaca doing what she does best. Now is she the mastermind of this killing game, something worse or not at all? Your going to have to watch it to find out the answer to that questions. But, I was really excited to see her crazy ass face after the Ultra Despair Girls game came out. Anyway, in this new season we see a lot of new faces and a lot of other people’s abilities in action. They just put you in for another wild ride of crazy. I can understand why they didn’t make this another game though because of the fact of the rules of this game and how their was no trial to determine the blackened. Everyone knew how this was supposed to go but even so turned on each other faster than the previous two classes did. When I saw that I was like,“Future Foundation my ass! They can’t even stop themselves to from becoming crazy with despair!” The only people who didn’t go crazy as hell are the people that were survivors of the previous ones.
Also, the reason why I think that they’ll make a third season is because I want background stories on Junko and Ikusaba. I think we can all agree that no one is born evil. You have to go through some awful stuff in order to become twisted like these two. That’s why I want to know their pasts and how they became how they are now. Sam e thing can be said for Nagito and Mikan. Their personalities were already weird to begin with but after Junko turning them evil their personalities got hundred times worse. That’s why I hope they make episodes about their pasts to find out why they are the way they are.
Speaking of crazy and evil is it wrong to like their despair appearances more than their current hopeful selves? I can’t deny that some of them looked cool as hell being evil but that’s just me. This anime will take you for a wild ride into the past and the future of the Danganronpa world. I hope you enjoy and the games as much as I have. Also, shoutout to all you enjoying your birthdays today and have fun!
