Are you enjoying this lovely spring weather like I am? I hope so.
Today’s anime that I’ll be talking about is Servamp that is a manga and an anime show by Strike Tanaka. I happened to come across this one by chance and I thought it looked interesting enough to take a look at. I will say that I only watched the show, but not the manga so this is going to be based on that.

It’s a teen boy named,”Mahiru”, who likes simple things but hates troublesome things. Already his personality traits are heading for a world of disaster. Anyway, one day he finds a black cat and decides to take it home to keep as a pet and names it, “Kuro”. But, the very next day when he returns from school, he finds a guy there instead of his cat; watching tv and eating all his food. Turns out that the cat he took in was actually a vampire and the reason why he was knocked out when he found him was because he was super weak to the sun.
In this show, instead of vampires burning or glittering in the sunlight they turn into small, cute animals. Kuro’s being an adorable black cat. Long story short Kuro and Mahiru end up making a contract with each other. Soon after another servamp comes out the woodwork that calls himself ,”Tsubaki”, the vampire of Melancholy.
Kuro is one of the seven vampires of sin. He being the servamp of Sloth for obvious reasons and his other siblings representing the other six sins. Apparently, none of the other vampires knew about Tsubaki’s existence of being the 8th vampire of the sin, Melancholy. Tired of hiding and not being acknowledged by his older siblings, he decides to start a war against the other vampires.
Kuro and Hyde end up being my favorite characters in this show which i find ironic since they HATE each other with a bloody passion. Kuro keeps making me laugh with how lazy he is, he’ll actually avoid fighting because he feels sore or isn’t into it at all. Hyde is the opposite he always seem to be up for a fight at all times and doesn’t care about anyone but himself. He seems to have a bad and ultimately fatal habit of killing his eves when he gets bored with them.
Anyway, I was kind of disappointed with the fact that only 3 out of the 7 sin vampires (not including Tsubaki) showed up in the show. If it wasn’t for the flashback, you’ve never have known what the other looks like. The beginning of the show made it seem like it was going to be that all seven band together for the greater good of all vampire kind and fight against Tsubaki all at once, but that didn’t happen. So, you could say I was a little miffed about that.
Hopefully, those details are in the manga for your enjoyment. But, this is a very good anime to watch and pass the time with. I hope you enjoy the crazy characters and funny moments that are in this show. See you next time!
