Since its October let’s talk about some horror, shall we?
The anime, Angel of Death, is still kind of ongoing, but I’ll get into that later. It’s about a girl named, “Rachel”, who finds herself in a very strange situation. All she remembers in the beginning of the story is that something happened to her parents, then she went to her first counseling session. Soon after, she wakes up in a strange building where she finds out very quickly that she has been named a ‘sacrifice’ in that strange place and that people are out to kill her for some reason.
Her first encounter with Zack wasn’t a very good one because he was the first person to try to kill her in this show with a scythe. You can tell immediately that Zack hasn’t gotten all his lightbulbs screwed back into his head yet, but he doesn’t seem to mind it. After a couple of near close calls, she makes a deal with Zack that if she successfully help him escape this building then he’ll kill her. Weird, right?
But, I think Rachel has her reasons for agreeing to this.
As you watch the show it starts to feel like your watching a video game and after doing some digging, I wasn’t really surprised to find out that it was a video game before it was turned into an anime. The video game was launched to the world in 2015 in August and was created by Makoto Sanada.
Anyway, as time goes by and they tread deeper and deeper into the insanity of the mystery building more of Zack’s and Rachel’s pasts are revealed in the process. But, there are some questions that haven’t been answered yet. Why is Rachel there? Is she dead or alive? Is she in some kind of purgatory if she is dead? What did she do to deserve being sent to that place? The anime only shows you 12 of the 16 episodes the rest of the episodes you have to search the internet for.
If anyone know where to watch all 16 episodes I would greatly appreciate it if you put it in the comments, so we can all enjoy the ending.
You can play the video game and see if you can beat it to see the plot twist of an ending or if your neither a gamer or a watcher then you can enjoy reading the manga, too. There are so many mysteries to this show and so many unique characters that these two have to go through. For the episodes that I was able to watch, I found it quite enjoyable and I hope you do, too.
Told you this my next post wasn’t far behind. Alrighty then, let’s get into the meat and potatoes now.
This time around I’ll be talking about one of the new games that’s come out recently called,” We Happy Few,” a action-adventure game that was developed by Compulsion Games and can be on your pc or console. I heard a little about this game and when I got to see the trailer I knew I had to see more.
This centers around Arthur who from the looks of things is responsible for helping his company control the news to the public. According to the story, the United Kingdom lost the war to the Germans in an alternate universe where the Americans didn’t join in the war as the United Kingdom’s allies. One of the demands that the Germans made when they won the war was from them to give up all of their children for whatever reason.
They had no choice but to obey so they sent every child under 13 on a train to Germany. One of those unfortunate kids ended up being Arthur’s younger brother, Percy. As time went by the citizens of the United Kingdom slowly grew insane with guilt for what they’ve done to save their own skin, so they let their government to order scientists to make a drug called, Joy. This drug does exactly what the name implies; it makes you so happy that its creepy. I wouldn’t be surprised if people under the drug suddenly broke a limb or witness someone die and wouldn’t care too much about it. Anyway, after this drug was made the government made it a law that everyone had to take this drug, NO EXCEPTIONS.
So, now everyone is super happy for no reason. What the government failed to mention to everyone is that in order for the drug to trick your mind that your happy is for it to erase your memories, so now no one remembers anything about anything. In the game Arthur mentions things they’ve forgotten like “No one remembers what they read” or “When do we start eating rats?”
Speaking of rats enjoy this reaction video of gamers reacting to one of the surprising and disgusting moments in the game down below:
Anyway, Arthur remembers his long-lost brother after all this time after seeing a picture of them together in a newspaper. He decides to stop taking his Joy and goes on an epic journey to leave the country in order to find his brother in Germany. Better said than done with this mission, no one can go out the country without the proper paperwork plus if someone in the game suspects you then your chases by an angry mob and if caught by the police they’ll shove Joy back down your throat.
As you play the game you start to notice lots of story based things going on in here. For example, the super elite higher ups aren’t on Joy and that some people who you encounter in the game on missions are only acting like their on Joy all the time in order to avoid punishment.
The gameplay is really good and has a bit of a BioShock feel to it. The storyline is really interesting and so are the characters that you encounter in the game. I’m not going to ruin what happens at the end, but for me I was kind of disappointed because it’s not the good ending that I wanted to see, I just expected more and it leaves more questions than answers for me, at least. Still doesn’t stop me from saying that this was a really good game and if you like action, adventure, survival or a game with an awesome storyline then this is the game I would consider trying out.
Alright everyone, this time I’m going to be talking about a game called,” Ni No Kuni 2″. This game was developed by Level-5 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. I know that this is the second game in the series, but I’m only going to be talking about this one.
Its revolves around our two main characters Evan and Roland. Roland is the president in our modern world that gets teleported to another world after a disaster happens in his world and he almost dies. When he first appears he encounters, Evan, a human-cat hybrid that is next in line for the throne in the Ding Dong Dell kingdom. Trouble comes barreling their way when they realize that their being invaded and have to escape the palace before it too late.
After escaping the palace, Roland vows to stay in this world with Evan and help him build a new nation, where everyone can be happy. This is already a challenge in itself, but things get even more difficult when they meet Doloran who was a king to a forgotten nation over two thousand years ago. When they discover his plan to rip away other rulers kingsbonds from them in order to help him summon the Horned One, they realize that their racing against the clock.
For those of you who don’t know a kingsbond is a bond that connects the ruler to not only their subjects, but their Kingmaker. A Kingmaker is pretty much like a god that acts like a guardian to the ruler; having a Kingmaker tells everyone around them that they are worthy enough to rule. That’s one of reasons why Evan can’t go strolling back to his Kingdom whenever he feels like it. Even if he were to take down the traitor Mausinger and all of his lackeys, he still wouldn’t be able to sit on the throne because he hasn’t gotten his Kingmaker yet.
He was supposed to get it during the crowning ceremony the same day that he met Roland and well……you can tell how well that played out for him.
So, Evan goes to the Kings Cradle to get his own Kingmaker where he then meets Lofty. A squishy, yellow and spiked little thing, they were really disappointed and for good reason. Everyone else’s Kingmaker looks awesome and badass while his looks pathetic and weak looking.
Continuing on their journey they meet a lot of different characters along the way. Their all unique in their own way and bring something new to the table. I love all the problems and adventures they get into to if your into adventure or open world games. This game is also very generous when it comes to collecting items. Items are everywhere in the game, you can’t miss them.
What they make easy in collecting items and treasures they make harder when it comes to fighting monsters. You have to constantly be fighting to get a high enough level to beat any mini or big boss. Granted you don’t have to get the recommended level to beat the boss, but it’ll make the fight a lot easier on you if you did. You know the rule when you play against rpg bosses? Have 99 potions in stock so you can stay alive the entire time.
Sadly that rule does not apply in Ni No Kuni 2. They have it where no matter how potions/hi-potions or in this case soreaways you have in stock if you go into battle your only allowed to use ten of them. Sucks right? This makes fighting bosses a lot harder than it already is. Don’t worry it’s still very possible to kick boss ass even with this restriction.
I wouldn’t recommend this game to first time RPG players only because its different from the normal ones and could be a lot harder in some areas. I really loved the graphics in this game; it made me feel like I was playing inside a movie created by Hizo Miyazaki and Ghibli Studio. I hope that another game like this is already in woodwork for the future. This game was very enjoyable and fun to look at, I hope you all like it as much as I did playing it.
Today I’ll be ranting about the very popular action-adventure God of War game that came out this spring. It was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The story revolves not only around Kratos but his son, Atreus, as well. Their story starts with the game trying to pull at your heart-strings by showing the Krato’s new wife’s funeral. Sad, right?
I swear this man can’t have anybody without them dying on him for some strange reason. Speaking of strange reason, the game never reveals how she died. Was she sick? Did someone kill her? Was it some kind of freak accident? Or was it her time because this was dated back in the days where everyone didn’t have access to medicine, treatments and all that? I guess we’ll never know.
I have my own theory about why and how she died, but if I would to get into that I would have to spoil a couple of things for the people who haven’t played this game yet. It’s a big reveal about who she was which is why I’ve decided not to talk about it this time.
Moving on with the father and son duo, so before she died she told them to spread her ashes at the top of the tallest mountain in all the realms. Set out to do just that the duo head on their first journey together towards the mountain. Now for anyone whose played a God of war game in the past knows that Kratos is a badass and can take care of himself, but now he has a child with him that has never left the forest and is about to see a lot of different things.
At first, Kratos tries to make this boy grow up fast because he really doesn’t know how to parent. He pretty much left that up to the wife almost the whole time, but as time goes by in the game you see them get closer and closer. It’s really heart warming to see the bond between father and son get stronger and stronger.
Some people who I’ve watched play the game get upset about his new fighting style because they were so used to one way that Kratos fights and that’s okay. Don’t worry guys, his fighting gets better. Trust me!
Also, I wanted to say that some people are basing off what they know about Norse mythology from Disney and Marvel movies. That is a NO NO! Let me explain, when certain people saw certain things happen with the Norse gods in the game they get confused about why this and that happened when in the Marvel movie it was totally different. You have to understand that the way the Marvel movies made the gods out to be isn’t the same as the real story behind it. They just picked and chose certain details that they thought would be interesting or better yet make them as close as the comics as possible. So, you have to read the actual lore in order to get some things that happened in this game. If you don’t want to that’s fine, too.
Glad to get that off my chest. I know I went a little off topic there but that’s okay. This game’s graphics and storyline go beyond its previous standards and if you’ve seen the ending then you already know that theirs another God of War game already in the woodwork for our enjoyment. Now, this is just my opinion but I think this next game will be its last and I’m just going off what I’ve seen in the game. If you like adventure, action, gore or fantasy then this game is for you! See you next time!
Have another great game to tell you all today. It is called, ‘Detroit: Become Human’ which was developed by Quantic Dream and published Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is one of the newest and popular games that is causing a buzz in the gamer world where your choices decide how the story plays out. I became extremely excited to get my hands on this game after playing the demo.
Let me get into the meat of the story, its revolves around three different androids with the names Markus, Kara and Connor. Markus is an android that takes care of an old kind-hearted man who is a world-renowned artist. Kara is an android to be a maid and caregiver to Todd and his daughter, Alice. Connor is the first ever detective android that was sent by Cyberlife to find the cause for the growing reports of deviants appearing not only in the city, but all over the world.
Deviants is the name given to androids that have malfunctioned and have started to express emotions and thoughts on their own. The humans become scared of this problem in the androids because they don’t know the cause and aren’t sure what would happen if their android suddenly turned and decided to no longer take orders from their owners. After, playing this game it reminds me so much of what happened in the past when their were people owning slaves. The only differences between the two is that it’s not about different colors, but a different species and that it has a modern touch to it, as well.
This game will tug on your heart in so many ways that you won’t know what emotion to feel anymore. You’ll find out that if you don’t think fast enough, you could make things go terribly wrong for yourself very fast in this game. Speaking of thinking fast, I recommend you enjoy the intense stress that is sure to come while playing this game and make spot on decisions instead of pausing the game so you could ‘stop and think about it’. Its way more fun that way in my opinion.
I’ll say that you don’t get the outcome that you’re looking for then don’t fret. You can always go back later and change things to get a different ending and there are so many paths that you can choose from that it’ll make your head spin! I suggest that you go through the game once without going back, so you can experience everything with your honest choices. I really, really enjoyed this game and I hope that they’re already in the woodwork to make another just as good or even better.
I’m back and with another game to tell you all about. This one is called, “Yomawari: Midnight Shadows and it was developed by Nippon Ichi Software and was released last year in October and for good reason. This is survival horror about two young girls trying to find each other in the middle of the night after being separated by an evil spirit.
This game loves to surprise you in ways that I didn’t know were possible like in the beginning of the game it asks to turn off all the lights and asks you to look at the screen closely. It’ll even ask did you do it, so it makes you wonder if the game somehow knows if you did it or not. It would have been awesome if it could tell if you were lying or not. Anyway, I liked how you’re not even safe even when you look at an item on your menu because there are times when a spirit refuses to be ignored and by passes that screen. I’m not going to spoil it by telling you which moments so prepare your heart for that.
Our two main characters in this story are Haru and Yui. Haru being the main protagonist in this story, but they do switch between to the two from time to time. The game starts off with a very disturbing and dark start when Yui decides to end it all and hangs herself on a tree for reasons unknown. Then, the story goes back for what I can guess hours before the separation of the two girls which confused me at first because I wasn’t sure if Yui was dead or not yet.
This is my theory about the inner working of the story, so Yui killed herself but I think that her mind was being manipulated by the evil spirit in the beginning for her to do so. The reason being is that little girls don’t really think about stuff like suicide in my opinion until there a little older to comprehend it, also the fact that she thinks that she’s still alive and looking for Haru plays a big part in my theory. From what I can guess is that Yui had such a strong desire to see Haru that after she interacted with Haru for that short amount of time, she accidently pulled Haru into the spirit world with her. That’s why during Haru’s search for Yui she sees all these monsters and ghosts and hasn’t put two and two together, she just thinks weird things happening tonight and nothing more.
Haru has a heart of steel to be running around in the dead of night looking for her best friend while avoiding all these ghosts wandering around town. I know if I was in this situation I wouldn’t be doing that I would run home, tell my parents and they would go and form a search party or whatever they wanted to do. I wouldn’t blindly run through town at night and next thing you know in the morning everyone is looking for two missing girls instead of one.
On top of that she has to avoid this scissor happy spirit, Kotowari, who tries killing her several times in this game. I don’t know what that ghost’s problem is, but it seems like he has a serious grudge against us. It sucks even more when you don’t have a health bar or anything. The moment you touch anything in the game that’s meant to harm or kill you its instant death. So, don’t be surprised or get frustrated when you end up dying a million times in a million different ways.
The ending to this story will really get you and if your into survival or horror games than I would definitely give this game a shot. I deeply enjoyed the story of these two girls trying to find each other even in this creepy setting. If your faint hearted when it comes to the horror genre then you might want to steer clear of this one. I enjoyed this game very much and I hope you will, too.
Watch this video if you want to get a feel for the game and decide for yourself if you want to give this horror game a try. Enjoy
I hope your having another wonderful day! Since today is my birthday I decided to talk about one of my favorite anime shows today which is Danganronpa.
As you all know Danganronpa was originally a video game before it became an anime series. So far there are two season, but I think their probably going to make a third season and I’ll tell you why later on. For now looks into the show itself, the first season is about what happened before the second game ,Goodbye Despair, but after the first game. The second season shows what happened to the class, Makoto and his friends after the second game ended.
In the first season it revolves around the Hinata and the 77th class at Hopes Peak Academy. It basically shows how they all were before they met Junko Enoshima which pretty much is how they were in the game before except that they didn’t want anything to do with each other because according to the school that as long as they pass the exams they don’t need to be in class. That’s where their new and perky home room teacher, Ms.Chisa, comes in. She comes in and makes them band together so they can enjoy a perfect and awesome high school life.
Turns out though that Ms.Chisa and several other people at the school have other ulterior motives for being there, which I’m not going to spoil for you. Anyway, there are some things that I want to point out that happened in the first season. The first one being is that Chiaki was in the class too and was alive at one point. My first thought was,“How is Chiaki alive?! I thought she was just a computer program so why is she here?” Turns out those questions are solved as you keep watching the series and when you find out about Chiaki’s fate it is the most saddest thing that you will ever see. I tried not to cry for the poor girl only because I know what happens to her in the second game of Danganronpa.
The other people who caught my eye were Nagito and Hinata for obvious reasons. Nagito was already a little bit of a nutcase, but it seems he didn’t really go off the deep end until the end of the first season after encountering the one and only Junko Enoshima. So, this really cleared up some things concerning him. Hinata, on the other hand, I kind of saw coming because if you’ve played the game then you know what happens to him while he was in Hope Peak. But, it was really interesting to see how he got to that point and how someone like him ended up joining Junko’s crew even after becoming an artificial Ultimate Hope.
Last but not least, I want to talk about what happened on the last episode of the first season. The reason being because I’m super confused as hell about it and I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed this. So, on the last episode of the first season the new faces that showed up in the show and Makoto looked like they were all banding together to fight against a small army of people and helped stop another horrible tragedy and that Mikan mentions that she helped save someone from poison and that should be alright now. Right after that person (which I believe to be Kyoko) walks out and surprises Makoto to show that they are actually alive and well.
Now here’s why I’m confused as hell, that episode shows what happens after the second season ends, right? But, in the second season Makoto, Kyoko, Ashina and the new faces from the previous season have to endure a second killing game in where most of these characters and Kyoko die. How could that be when they were shown in the teaser episode showing them fighting against a common enemy that was supposed to be in the last episode of the second season? Can someone explain that to me please? For now, I’m going to assume that the creators made that episode but then reconsidered later on in the series and decided to kill them off instead.
The second season is what I said before a killing game in which we finally get to see Monaca doing what she does best. Now is she the mastermind of this killing game, something worse or not at all? Your going to have to watch it to find out the answer to that questions. But, I was really excited to see her crazy ass face after the Ultra Despair Girls game came out. Anyway, in this new season we see a lot of new faces and a lot of other people’s abilities in action. They just put you in for another wild ride of crazy. I can understand why they didn’t make this another game though because of the fact of the rules of this game and how their was no trial to determine the blackened. Everyone knew how this was supposed to go but even so turned on each other faster than the previous two classes did. When I saw that I was like,“Future Foundation my ass! They can’t even stop themselves to from becoming crazy with despair!” The only people who didn’t go crazy as hell are the people that were survivors of the previous ones.
Also, the reason why I think that they’ll make a third season is because I want background stories on Junko and Ikusaba. I think we can all agree that no one is born evil. You have to go through some awful stuff in order to become twisted like these two. That’s why I want to know their pasts and how they became how they are now. Sam e thing can be said for Nagito and Mikan. Their personalities were already weird to begin with but after Junko turning them evil their personalities got hundred times worse. That’s why I hope they make episodes about their pasts to find out why they are the way they are.
Speaking of crazy and evil is it wrong to like their despair appearances more than their current hopeful selves? I can’t deny that some of them looked cool as hell being evil but that’s just me. This anime will take you for a wild ride into the past and the future of the Danganronpa world. I hope you enjoy and the games as much as I have. Also, shoutout to all you enjoying your birthdays today and have fun!
For today, I’m going to be talking about Final Fantasy XV which is the first rpg game in the final fantasy series that is an open world. If you don’t know what open world is then it’s basically when the game itself let’s explore the world itself and see other things besides the main storyline that the game provides. This is a very new element to the final fantasy series because they’ve never did it before and if would have to guess I would say that they were racking their brains on how they could make final fantasy even more awesome than it already is. Their solution: open world.
This was developed and published by Square Enix and we thank you for making this game. It is about a young prince named Noctis who sets out on a journey with his three best friends and bodyguards (Ignis, Prompto and Gladiolus) to meet his bride and childhood friend, Luna. The two of them were supposed to get married in order to restore peace between Lucis and the Imperial kingdom. Soon, after the group leaves the kingdom the Imperials set a trap and end up not only capturing Noctis’s kingdom, but kill the king, as well.
Now with no way back home without dying Noctis and the others continue their search to find Luna and go through the trials with the gods in order to receive their blessing and bring peace back to the land.
This game was trying to pull my heart strings so many times in this game especially the ending. It was so heartfelt and beautiful that it almost brought tears to my eyes. I said almost! But, the game was good nevertheless and I can’t wait to make another one like this and I don’t mean the online ones that their making nowadays, but ones like this where there is a main story and all that good stuff.
My favorite characters would have to be Gladiolus and Ardyn. Gladiolus I liked for very obvious reasons and I liked how he was always that focused and strong character, sometimes, he could be a real hard ass but he had to be for Noctis’s sake. I learned from watching them that each of Noctis friends represents what quality he needs to be a good king. Ardyn, on the other hand, who is the bad guy in this story was my other favorite and I liked him because he was a funny but mysterious villain. For the longest time in the game I couldn’t decide if he was on our side or not, but I’m going to tell you now that he’s not. He was also so casual with killing people, sabotaging plans and destroying the planet that I couldn’t help strangely liking him.
Also, for the DLCs there are some separate episodes for Noctis’s friends and their adventures when they weren’t with Noctis in the main story. You learn a lot about these characters through them. There is an Ardyn DLC that will be coming soon sometime this year in 2018 and I’m super excited about that because I really want to know about Ardyn’s past and how he became the way he is in the story.
The only things I would have to comment on is the teleporting and the loading screens. The loading screens were very bi-polar where it would take 10 seconds one time then take a whole five minutes the next and was very annoying to me. Also, the teleporting function, don’t get me wrong it was very useful for those long journeys across the land to complete missions, but I didn’t understand the game’s logic on what I could and couldn’t teleport to. For example, it wouldn’t let me teleport to a place that would take forever by car, but would let me teleport to one pretty much down the street which made no sense to me. Other than that this was a very good game and worth playing.
If you’ve played it already then you already know how good this game is, but if you haven’t and your into RPGs then give this game a try, you won’t regret it. Can’t wait for the next one to come out!
Would you like meet cute girls with psychotic tendencies?
Then look no further ladies and gentlemen go ahead and join Doki Doki Literature Club! It’s a girly and cute dating sim game that also happens to be a hidden horror game which was developed Team Salvato. It’s about a guy who joins the literature club with some convincing from his best friend, Sayori. Sayori is the positive airhead type of girl where nothing bad could ever happen.
Anyway, you think at first that this a simple dating sim game and your goal is to make all the girls fall in love with you. If those are your thoughts then your dead wrong! You not only have to get all the girls to fall in love with you, but you have to make the right choices in order for them to stay alive. One wrong move on your part could lead one of these lovely ladies to their deaths.
I was so shocked at the first death that I didn’t even know what to do with myself. Then, when the shock went away I tried to load my last save and save her from dying, but as if the game itself knew I was going to do that it took away my recent saves as if it was saying MWHAHAHAAHAHA NOPE!!! After that things get really weird and creepy really fast and at that moment you know you screwed up.
I don’t want to spoil too much of the game for you guys, but if you’re not interested in playing it then go ahead and enjoy these reactions to Sayori’s death in the video below. I will say that this is a very good game with the developers intent of making a thinking out of the box type game. I’ve never had game mess with me so much. Every time you think its over it’s not going to happen for a while it happens out of nowhere as if it knows when you put your mental guard down.
If I had a favorite character for this game it would have to be a tie between Natsuki and Yuri. The reason being is that I liked Yuri and I made her my first target in getting her to fall for me, but Natsuki’s way of thinking was very in sync with my own, so I liked her a lot, too. If you are one of the faint hearted gamers out there then this game isn’t for you because there are a ton of jumpscares in this, so if you’re not into that then I wouldn’t recommend it. If you are then please enjoy these beautiful girls in this screwed up game.
I hope you guys are excited for Christmas this year and while you wait for the inevitable holidays, I’ll start talking about the new game Ark: Survival Evolved that was developed by Studio Wildcard. While we were all waiting for it to come out it was the talk of the town. You couldn’t believe all the times I kept here over and over from my friends that ” I should play Ark” or ” You play this game, it’s awesome!”
With all the hype and excitement that was surrounding the game, I got really curious on how it actually is when it did come out. Personally, I don’t play these types of games on the usual which if you didn’t know its a action-adventure survival game. But, I will if something really catches my eye about the game itself.
After a couple of hours of gameplay, I found that I was really disappointed in what I saw. This was meant to be a multiplayer game but with that feature if you do happen to be playing by yourself the developers could have added some kind of side or main storyline into the game to keep the player entertained enough to find other player to play with. While playing I felt two constant emotions frustration or boredom. In the beginning there is no tutorial and they make you figure everything out by yourselves and if you never figure it…….well then you don’t last long. Whether it was intentional or not for that feature, we may never know but I didn’t like the fact that it acted like I was a seasoned player of previous Ark so in turn should have already have an idea what was what.
Boredom comes naturally in a game like this when you do the same thing over and over with no change. When you do finally get a hang of the game and it seems like nothing can touch you, it gets boring fast. Quickly, you try to find something entertaining to do while again wait for other players that want to hang out with you but as time drags on nothing seems to catch your attention long enough. I literally played like that for a couple of hours before I told myself I had to stop the madness and end it. So I killed myself (in the game of course) a couple of times in different ways before deciding that this game isn’t for me.
The only thing this game gets praise for its great graphics and the gaming potential that it does have. I’m not sure if this was a good game but wrong type of gamer type situation because some people out there do actually enjoy this. I just don’t know how. This game is for very seasoned type gamers that actually are into these types of games or have played the previous Ark games and know how to get the most out of it.
