Once again another Despicable Me movie has come out for our enjoyment. This one is about Gru who not only gets his wife and himself fired for the secret agent organization, but learns that his father that he thought was dead recently passed away and that he has a twin brother.
I thought it was hilarious to find out how good his twin, Dru has it. He’s rich, lives in a mansion, everyone loves him and he has a full head of hair. Instantly, Gru was jealous of him because of everything he had , but learns to get over it. Also, he learns that being a villain was part of the family business and that Dru has absolutely no talent being evil and wants Gru to help him channel his inner evil.
While that’s all happening Lucy is trying to have mother/daughter bonding time with them. I think my favorite part in this is when Margo unknowingly is forced to participate in a local village ceremony that leads to this poor boy thinking that he and Margo are engaged. Rule # 1 of traveling is never participate in foreign activities that you don’t know all the details to.
The part where the boy gets rejected and is super dramatic about it is the funniest thing ever. I watched that one scene three times over.
I feel like this is going to be the last Despicable Me movie because I don’t think they can drag it out anymore than they’ve already have. It was a fun ride while it lasted and it’s always funny to watch the minions be stupid about something. I really enjoyed these movies.
Sorry if you guys feel like this post is really short compared to the others.
Thanks for Reading!
This older cartoon called “Martin Mystery” which revolves around three people who work for “The Center.” The Center is a secret organization that investigates paranormal activities all around the world. The three agents that they send are Martin, Diana and Java.
Martin is a normal teenage boy who loves to flirt with pretty girls but mostly ends up making himself look like a fool in front of them. Also, he seems to be the main character and leader of the group much to Diana’s dismay. Diana is Martin’s step-sister who is smart and seems to be the common sense in the group and loves telling Martin how stupid he could be sometimes.
In the beginning of the show it doesn’t really make it clear that what their relationship was. Almost, immediately, I felt a love connection between the two so I thought at first that they could be two people who haven’t yet become a couple. So, I was really surprised to find out that they were actually siblings. Turns out though that in the comic they were lovers but decided to change it so they would end up siblings instead.
Anyway, the team’s last member is Java, the cave man. I don’t just say that he’s a cave man just because he looks like one, its because he actually is one. They found his body in an iceberg and made him an addition to the group. Now he serves as Martin and Diana’s friend and the team’s muscle.
When ‘The Center’ calls them for an assignment, Martin uses his high tech watch to find a portal in the school that takes them to The Center. Sometimes, the portals end up in the most ridiculous of places and I kind of wonder how no one hasn’t gotten suspicious.
As I watched the show, I thought that Men in Black had a lot of influence in it. Aliens and other creatures worked in the organization, they got cool gadgets and no one knew what they did. This show is filled with aliens, ghosts, zombies and other paranormal beings that you can think of and also filled with romance, comedy and friendship. It is really enjoyable to watch.
Watching “Generator Rex” brought a lot of old fond memories back. This show surrounds a teenage boy named Rex who has the power to grow and control machines to defeat EVOs. EVOs are humans that get turned into evil looking monsters because of an incident that happened 5 years ago. Five years ago, a group of scientists wanted to help humanity combat injuries and diseases by creating little machines called “Nanites”. Which I think was a good idea if the rich people funding the project didn’t mess up completely. They caused a huge explosion that not only taking out a lot of people, but the Nanites that they created spread across the globe and infected every living thing.
The Nanites end up mutating the eco system and the very people themselves turning them into monsters. What’s worse is that their seems to no cure for the never ending plague…….until now. Rex is the only person with the power to fight and cure EVOs. Their was a lot of mystery around Rex. He didn’t know his last name, where he came from, if he had any family or why he has these powers in the first place. But, don’t worry as you watch you’ll find they will give us hints and flashbacks to help us with finding the answers. The mystery thickens when Van Kleiss, Rex’s arch nemesis, appears. He appears to know more about Rex and who he is than anyone else it seems, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be revealing anything to us anytime soon.
If I had to choose my favorite episodes from this series, it would be “Night Falls” and the Ben/Generator Rex crossover. I liked the “Night Falls “episode they created werewolf type EVO that I liked plus another showdown between Rex and Hunter Cain. I also liked when they put Ben 10 into the mix for two episodes and mess with Rex a little. I don’t think Rex could process what Ben knew and what he could do all that well, but they proved to be a good team. I hope they get to work together again before the season ends.
Generator Rex is really funny to watch. I love watching Rex and his partner Bobo fight EVOs and pull pranks on everyone that they meet. The show will keep you entertained as we try to figure out Rex’s past and what it has to do with him now.
I loved the idea about a show where the sidekicks would be running the show. So, when Cartoon Network finally aired Young Justice I had to watch it. When I first watched it one of my favorite characters was Robin and not just because I knew and everybody else knew who he was. I loved his little devious personality where he likes to cause mischief and mess around with his enemies before taking them down. Next, is Aqualad who is used to live in Atlantis before deciding to want to live on the surface world. He is the leader of the team and likes to use water magic. Aqualad is a very serious type of guy who doesn’t let his feelings on anything get in the way of how to judge a situation.
Megan or better known as Ms. Martian is obviously a martian who traveled to Earth to become part of the Young Justice team. My first impression of her is that she is really perky and sometimes can be totally clumsy when she isn’t thinking. My thoughts were confirmed when I saw in the show that, whenever, she would start ranting about something she would make a mess of things or when they all started to go to school, she became part of the cheerleading squad. All in all, Megan is just really, really girly.
Now that I’ve talked a little about Megan, we know go to Conner another character that I grow fond of. In the very first episode and mission, they discover a younger clone of Superman who later became known has Superboy. Conner has a lot of anger issues and for obvious reasons. He was a clone, everyone thought that Conner was Superman’s son, Superman didn’t want anything to do with him and the list of problems goes on and on. Most of his angry outbursts that you’ll see while watching were either directed at the team or to Megan. Now at first Megan became public enemy number one for Conner when she started using her mind powers to communicate with everyone in the beginning. If you’ve already watched to show then you know why this was a serious problem. But, later in the show Megan and Conner become attached to each other, which I wasn’t surprised at, at all.
Our last two team members of Young Justice would have to be Kid Flash and Artemis. Kid Flash or also known as Wally is the Flash’s sidekick and is a total jokester. He’ll say and do things that will really make you laugh, but totally piss off his teammates. You’ll find that he’s quite the flirt no matter how unsuccessful his flirting attempts are with the ladies. Now Artemis was a bit tricky. The moment you see her, you know that she’s hiding something plus she didn’t quite join the team under good terms. When Young Justice was formed, Speedy who later changed his name to Red Arrow; decided to go solo because he thought that this new team was a joke and a waste of time and left to do hero work that he thought was worth his time. The team was a bit sore when he left and it didn’t help matters when they brought Artemis in who was also an archer. They kind of felt like that she was his replacement.
You’ll definitely get sucked into the show. Everyone is hiding a secret, what kind of secret is only revealed after you watch the show. Its filled with action, mystery, comedy and drama. That you don’t want to miss. I am aware that their seem to be more than one season to Young Justice and I can’t wait to watch them and talk about them later.
