I’m going to talk about this cool anime called ,”Fire Force, which was produced by David Production. It came out quite recently and the main reason I wanted to see it was because it was an anime centered around fire fighters which I think I should have seen coming besides the title being a dead give away. Anime as a whole has managed to make anything look cool and exciting and they have pretty much gone after almost every job/sport known to man. But, this is the first anime show that’s based off of firefighters that I know of.
Anyway, this show is mainly centered around, Shinra, who is widely known in the Academy has the crazed “Devil” because of his fire ability that comes out of his feet combined with the fact that he has a tendency to make a crazed smile in the wrong kind of situations. Basically, his classmates thought he was a dangerous nut job. He still passed the academy training with flying colors and was sent off to his first unit in the Fire Force.
Now, the Fire Force has two main jobs and they are to kill the ‘infernals’ which are creatures born from human beings that seem to combust into flames for unknown reasons then lose control of themselves and go on a rampage. Their second job is to find the cause of the reason why people are turning into infernals and put a stop to it.
For them fighting infernals is hard enough, but with hints of a conspiracy happening within the Fire Force and one of them being that one of the other companies might know the secret to the sudden human combustion, it makes Shinra and the others wonder. If another company knows the reason behind it, then why haven’t they put a stop to it? Also, are the other terrorist characters that have been causing havoc lately being employed by said company? If so, why?
There are many more mysteries happening in this anime and I bet their is more to come soon, since this is a ongoing series. But, if you prefer to read it then you’ll be happy to know that its a manga, too. So, if you can’t wait to see the end then I would go for the manga. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the show and see what is the cause behind the birth of the infernals and why they exist in the first place.
We’re going to be diving into an animated movie called, “A Silent Voice” or “The Shape of Voice” whichever title you prefer. It was produced by Kyoto Animation, directed by Naoko Yamada and written by Reiko Yoshida. With that said I would like to thank everyone in involved in the making of this awesome movie.
Now this movie mostly revolves around two main characters who are Shoya and Shoko. Shoko transferred over to Shoko’s elementary school where everyone learned that she was deaf and had to wear hearing aides in order to hear at least a little bit. But, still preferred to communicate with everyone through her notebook. For some reason, Shoya and her friends start bullying her and anyone trying to befriend her. Until one day, Shoko’s mom makes an complaint to the school which in turn makes Shoya’s friends turn on him in order to save themselves from punishment.
With the bullying and harassment exposed Shoya’s mom was forced to pay back all the money to Shoko’s family in compensation to him breaking or taking her hearing aides. Shoya learned three life lessons during this time:
Karma is a bitch
During tough or dire situations, you find out who your real friends are
That all of your actions come with rewards and consequences
In this his case very harsh consequences because not only did his family have to give up the money to Shoko’s family, but he also lost all his friends and everything he did to her was being done to him. This stuck with him even after Shoko suddenly transferred out to another school. Eventually, he did get to transfer to another school too, but the mental and emotional damage was already done by then because in his new school he didn’t have any friends there either, he had trouble looking at people in the eye and his depression seemed to be so bad that his mind couldn’t even bother to remember people faces. The people not important to him in his life had huge Xs over their faces showing that he didn’t really care for their existence so the only people that initially didn’t have an X over their was face were pretty much family members.
Fate seems to intervene once more with Shoko and Shoya reuniting in a sign language class. Shoya wants to redeem himself for his past mistakes concerning her, so he decides to befriend her. Then, the beautiful drama journey between these two is born. This is a total tear jerker of a movie and if you watch this movie and you don’t shed a tear then I’m pretty sure you don’t have a soul.
In this movie, new friendships are born, old ones are renewed, jealousy and love are sprung and speaking of jealousy I think Naoka had a crush on Shoya because of the fact that she blames Shoko for how their friendship ended in elementary school and now how Shoko and Shoya seem to be so close now. So, she ends up becoming a bitter bitch in trying to sabotage their new found friendship anyway she can. What I think Naoko never ever understood from that childhood experience was that their little group of friends weren’t really friends to begin with because even if Shoko wasn’t in the picture; some other time in the future something else was going to break them apart. Also, she had plenty of time after the incident to rekindle her friendship with Shoya but the fact that she never bothered because she was afraid of becoming an social outcast herself spoke volumes to me.
Anyway, I really loved this movie it moved my heart to tears. Their are a lot of life lessons to be learned in it, makes you appreciate life as a whole and how it shows you that things can always get better with time plus the movie itself was overall beautiful. I recommend anime and non-anime watchers to definitely watch, but if you don’t feel like crying your eyes out while watching it, I will understand.
Ah, my first post for the new year, even though it’s almost February……oh well. Sorry that’s its taken me so long to make another post but here it is!
This anime show is called,” That time I got reincarnated as a Slime”, by Fuse. Other than the title; a quick clip of the show on YouTube I found at random had me searching quickly for the full episodes of the anime. The story begins with a normal human man named, Satoru, who is also 37-year-old virgin but loves his normal everyday life. That all changes one day when one get together turns deadly by him getting stabbed and dying.
As he dies a voice which is later called,’ The Great Sage’, talks to him and offers him a new life and asks what he would like. Satoru thinks that he’s going delusional in his final moments so he starts requesting the first things that come to mind without knowing the consequences. Next thing he knows, he’s waking up in a dark cave in a slime’s body and his epic adventure begins.
You can pretty much guess why the Great Sage chose that body for him. Not only was he reincarnated into another world, but it had to find a body that suited all of his requests that he made while dying. He didn’t want to feel pain, hot or cold, have predator instincts (even though that’s not what he meant at the time), etc. So, if you think about it becoming a slime makes a lot of sense. Even though he complains a lot at first about his body, he gets used to it pretty fast.
Then he meets the Storm Dragon Veldora who explains that he’s been sealed in the cave for hundreds of years and if he still sealed for another hundred years or two he will die. What he did to get imprisoned is kind of bad but the way he tells it is funny as hell. Also, Veldora turns out to be a very nice dragon probably because he’s super lonely for being stuck in that cave for so long. Satoru feels bad for him so he makes him a deal, he’ll go out into the world to find a way to unseal him in exchange for being his friend. Veldora agrees and Satoru ends up using one of his skills to eat the dragon and the cage, so Veldora can tag along.
So in short Satoru’s main quest is to release Veldora from his prison before he dies. But, he gets into a lot of funny and serious situations along the way that makes you cry in laughter. Next thing you know Satoru ends up becoming one of the biggest badasses in that world without realizing it. But, there is one thing that still remains a mystery that he’s kind of shrugged off in the show…..who is the Great Sage? Why was he reincarnated into that world in the first place?
According to the anime, people come from different worlds to visit his world sometimes but they are summoned not reincarnated. No only is Satoru’s situation unique and rare but powerful, too. It takes about thirty mages to summon one person to his world, but from what I’ve seen in the show only one big powerful person or entity was strong enough to pull him into that world and make him a new body to boot. So, it begs the questions of why this person or being did that in the first place.
There are a lot of questions to be answered in this anime and if you want to find out the answers I suggest you watch it or read it for yourself. Their are a lot of action, hilarious moments and hot people in this show, so I’m sure you’ll find something that will catch your eye. Hope you enjoy this awesome anime like I did.
Since its October let’s talk about some horror, shall we?
The anime, Angel of Death, is still kind of ongoing, but I’ll get into that later. It’s about a girl named, “Rachel”, who finds herself in a very strange situation. All she remembers in the beginning of the story is that something happened to her parents, then she went to her first counseling session. Soon after, she wakes up in a strange building where she finds out very quickly that she has been named a ‘sacrifice’ in that strange place and that people are out to kill her for some reason.
Her first encounter with Zack wasn’t a very good one because he was the first person to try to kill her in this show with a scythe. You can tell immediately that Zack hasn’t gotten all his lightbulbs screwed back into his head yet, but he doesn’t seem to mind it. After a couple of near close calls, she makes a deal with Zack that if she successfully help him escape this building then he’ll kill her. Weird, right?
But, I think Rachel has her reasons for agreeing to this.
As you watch the show it starts to feel like your watching a video game and after doing some digging, I wasn’t really surprised to find out that it was a video game before it was turned into an anime. The video game was launched to the world in 2015 in August and was created by Makoto Sanada.
Anyway, as time goes by and they tread deeper and deeper into the insanity of the mystery building more of Zack’s and Rachel’s pasts are revealed in the process. But, there are some questions that haven’t been answered yet. Why is Rachel there? Is she dead or alive? Is she in some kind of purgatory if she is dead? What did she do to deserve being sent to that place? The anime only shows you 12 of the 16 episodes the rest of the episodes you have to search the internet for.
If anyone know where to watch all 16 episodes I would greatly appreciate it if you put it in the comments, so we can all enjoy the ending.
You can play the video game and see if you can beat it to see the plot twist of an ending or if your neither a gamer or a watcher then you can enjoy reading the manga, too. There are so many mysteries to this show and so many unique characters that these two have to go through. For the episodes that I was able to watch, I found it quite enjoyable and I hope you do, too.
Alright, today I’ll be going into an anime show called,” Kakuriyo”. It revolves around a girl named, Aoi, who was pretty much an ordinary girl other than the fact that she could see Ayakashi (aka other worldly beings) all her life. Things take a strange turn in her daily life after her grandfather died. Soon after his funeral, she gets a visit from Ōdanna, a handsome Ogre demon who spirits her away to the Hidden Realm so she can become his bride.
Totally confused about her new situation, she demands an explanation. Turns out her good old grandfather, Shiro, left a huge debt behind to Ōdanna and his hotel and never paid it back before he died. Knowing he couldn’t pay back the amount in time, he made a deal with Ōdanna saying that in exchange for his huge debt, he could take his granddaughter, Aoi, as his wife instead. Messed up, isn’t it?
Even if this encounter was inevitable, Shiro could have at least warned her about the agreement so she could be mentally prepared when it happened. I know some of you out there would probably say ,’she would have run away’ or something like that, but let’s face it. Their Ayakashi from another realm, I’m pretty sure that no matter where she went in the world they were going to find her and bring her back kicking and screaming. Moving on, Aoi really didn’t want to get married to him for obvious reasons even though he was good-looking, kind-hearted and seemed to be wealthy enough to take good care of her for the rest of her life. So, she offered to pay the debt off by working for him in his hotel, the Tenjin’ya.
After the deal was made he became a bit of a dick to her and was super sure that she would come running back to him the moment, she realized that wouldn’t be able pay it all off fast enough. What he didn’t expect to happen was for her to find her place in the hotel and make her own eatery.
As time passes for her in the hotel, she meets all kind of new people, spirits and Ōdanna and Aoi get closer and closer. The show is still ongoing so I’m going to assume that they fall in love with each other and still get married in the end, but who knows maybe their will be a whole different ending to this. I do like this anime and I kind of feel like they got this idea from Spirited Away which is a very good movie by the way. There is a bit of mystery going on in the show and a lot of comedy, so if your into those kinds of genres then I would look into this anime quickly.
Recently, I just got done watching an anime called, “Aggretsuko”, that I was really on the fence about. The main reason was because of the fact that the anime style wasn’t the usual kind that I would watch. At first glance, it looks more like a cartoon than an anime, but once I was done watching the first episode two things went through my mind.
One: This is definitely an anime show.
Two: Totally in love with this show!
It’s about a red panda named, “Retsuko who works a regular nine to five office job for a company. But, what no ones knows about her is that she loves singing death metal karaoke whenever she’s stressed about something. After, I watched her scream-sing about how shitty her boss was in the company building bathroom, I knew I had to see more and before I knew it I went through the entire first season.
Now when she’s not working at the company in the day, she’s at her favorite karaoke bar at night; singing her stress away. She goes there so often that the employees know her by name. Retsuko suppresses a lot of her emotions during work because she’s afraid that if she was herself and said what was actually on her mind during work, she would be fired and not have any friends or any kind of social life.
I can say we can all relate to her in some kind of way. When you really want to say or do what you really feel, but your mental filter comes in, so you don’t. Anyway, I really like the characters in this show if I had to my favorites it would be the trio (Fenneko, Retsuko and Haida).
Fenneko is a fox that should quit her job and be a detective instead. Reason being she has a habit of going through extreme means to find any info or dirt on any person that catches her eye. Retsuko can’t even change her daily routine without Fenneko finding out about it. You can’t hide anything from this girl.
Haida is a hyena and has been Retsuko’s friend and co-worker for the last five years. Has time passes you realize that he’s developed a crush on Retsuko and doesn’t know how to confess his feelings for her. As you watch him, you realize how good of a match they would make if they got together. She’s a death metal singer and he dresses like a rocker when he’s not at work and plays an electric guitar.
Plus if you listen to their voices when they say Retsuko’s name it kind of sounds like their saying red skull instead. It’s really funny considering her hobby. This show is really enjoyable and I have to thank the creators for making this and Netflix for airing it into the world and into our hearts. The 2nd season doesn’t come out until 2019 and until then I’ll patiently be waiting.
I hope your having another wonderful day! Since today is my birthday I decided to talk about one of my favorite anime shows today which is Danganronpa.
As you all know Danganronpa was originally a video game before it became an anime series. So far there are two season, but I think their probably going to make a third season and I’ll tell you why later on. For now looks into the show itself, the first season is about what happened before the second game ,Goodbye Despair, but after the first game. The second season shows what happened to the class, Makoto and his friends after the second game ended.
In the first season it revolves around the Hinata and the 77th class at Hopes Peak Academy. It basically shows how they all were before they met Junko Enoshima which pretty much is how they were in the game before except that they didn’t want anything to do with each other because according to the school that as long as they pass the exams they don’t need to be in class. That’s where their new and perky home room teacher, Ms.Chisa, comes in. She comes in and makes them band together so they can enjoy a perfect and awesome high school life.
Turns out though that Ms.Chisa and several other people at the school have other ulterior motives for being there, which I’m not going to spoil for you. Anyway, there are some things that I want to point out that happened in the first season. The first one being is that Chiaki was in the class too and was alive at one point. My first thought was,“How is Chiaki alive?! I thought she was just a computer program so why is she here?” Turns out those questions are solved as you keep watching the series and when you find out about Chiaki’s fate it is the most saddest thing that you will ever see. I tried not to cry for the poor girl only because I know what happens to her in the second game of Danganronpa.
The other people who caught my eye were Nagito and Hinata for obvious reasons. Nagito was already a little bit of a nutcase, but it seems he didn’t really go off the deep end until the end of the first season after encountering the one and only Junko Enoshima. So, this really cleared up some things concerning him. Hinata, on the other hand, I kind of saw coming because if you’ve played the game then you know what happens to him while he was in Hope Peak. But, it was really interesting to see how he got to that point and how someone like him ended up joining Junko’s crew even after becoming an artificial Ultimate Hope.
Last but not least, I want to talk about what happened on the last episode of the first season. The reason being because I’m super confused as hell about it and I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed this. So, on the last episode of the first season the new faces that showed up in the show and Makoto looked like they were all banding together to fight against a small army of people and helped stop another horrible tragedy and that Mikan mentions that she helped save someone from poison and that should be alright now. Right after that person (which I believe to be Kyoko) walks out and surprises Makoto to show that they are actually alive and well.
Now here’s why I’m confused as hell, that episode shows what happens after the second season ends, right? But, in the second season Makoto, Kyoko, Ashina and the new faces from the previous season have to endure a second killing game in where most of these characters and Kyoko die. How could that be when they were shown in the teaser episode showing them fighting against a common enemy that was supposed to be in the last episode of the second season? Can someone explain that to me please? For now, I’m going to assume that the creators made that episode but then reconsidered later on in the series and decided to kill them off instead.
The second season is what I said before a killing game in which we finally get to see Monaca doing what she does best. Now is she the mastermind of this killing game, something worse or not at all? Your going to have to watch it to find out the answer to that questions. But, I was really excited to see her crazy ass face after the Ultra Despair Girls game came out. Anyway, in this new season we see a lot of new faces and a lot of other people’s abilities in action. They just put you in for another wild ride of crazy. I can understand why they didn’t make this another game though because of the fact of the rules of this game and how their was no trial to determine the blackened. Everyone knew how this was supposed to go but even so turned on each other faster than the previous two classes did. When I saw that I was like,“Future Foundation my ass! They can’t even stop themselves to from becoming crazy with despair!” The only people who didn’t go crazy as hell are the people that were survivors of the previous ones.
Also, the reason why I think that they’ll make a third season is because I want background stories on Junko and Ikusaba. I think we can all agree that no one is born evil. You have to go through some awful stuff in order to become twisted like these two. That’s why I want to know their pasts and how they became how they are now. Sam e thing can be said for Nagito and Mikan. Their personalities were already weird to begin with but after Junko turning them evil their personalities got hundred times worse. That’s why I hope they make episodes about their pasts to find out why they are the way they are.
Speaking of crazy and evil is it wrong to like their despair appearances more than their current hopeful selves? I can’t deny that some of them looked cool as hell being evil but that’s just me. This anime will take you for a wild ride into the past and the future of the Danganronpa world. I hope you enjoy and the games as much as I have. Also, shoutout to all you enjoying your birthdays today and have fun!
Are you enjoying this lovely spring weather like I am? I hope so.
Today’s anime that I’ll be talking about is Servamp that is a manga and an anime show by Strike Tanaka. I happened to come across this one by chance and I thought it looked interesting enough to take a look at. I will say that I only watched the show, but not the manga so this is going to be based on that.
It’s a teen boy named,”Mahiru”, who likes simple things but hates troublesome things. Already his personality traits are heading for a world of disaster. Anyway, one day he finds a black cat and decides to take it home to keep as a pet and names it, “Kuro”. But, the very next day when he returns from school, he finds a guy there instead of his cat; watching tv and eating all his food. Turns out that the cat he took in was actually a vampire and the reason why he was knocked out when he found him was because he was super weak to the sun.
In this show, instead of vampires burning or glittering in the sunlight they turn into small, cute animals. Kuro’s being an adorable black cat. Long story short Kuro and Mahiru end up making a contract with each other. Soon after another servamp comes out the woodwork that calls himself ,”Tsubaki”, the vampire of Melancholy.
Kuro is one of the seven vampires of sin. He being the servamp of Sloth for obvious reasons and his other siblings representing the other six sins. Apparently, none of the other vampires knew about Tsubaki’s existence of being the 8th vampire of the sin, Melancholy. Tired of hiding and not being acknowledged by his older siblings, he decides to start a war against the other vampires.
Kuro and Hyde end up being my favorite characters in this show which i find ironic since they HATE each other with a bloody passion. Kuro keeps making me laugh with how lazy he is, he’ll actually avoid fighting because he feels sore or isn’t into it at all. Hyde is the opposite he always seem to be up for a fight at all times and doesn’t care about anyone but himself. He seems to have a bad and ultimately fatal habit of killing his eves when he gets bored with them.
Anyway, I was kind of disappointed with the fact that only 3 out of the 7 sin vampires (not including Tsubaki) showed up in the show. If it wasn’t for the flashback, you’ve never have known what the other looks like. The beginning of the show made it seem like it was going to be that all seven band together for the greater good of all vampire kind and fight against Tsubaki all at once, but that didn’t happen. So, you could say I was a little miffed about that.
Hopefully, those details are in the manga for your enjoyment. But, this is a very good anime to watch and pass the time with. I hope you enjoy the crazy characters and funny moments that are in this show. See you next time!
This time I’ll be talking about Citrus which was a manga originally by Saburouta. Later, made into an anime show by Seven Seas Entertainment. I will say that the manga did interest me, but I never got the time to get into it which is why I’m so glad they made an anime show version of it.
It’s about two girls that are total opposites of each other made to be step-sisters after their parents marry each other and not only that have to share a room. Yuzu is the perky, girly type of girl who likes wearing make up, jewelry and being social with others. She’s not afraid to speak her mind either which is why she sticks out like a sore thumb at her new school after she and her mom moved, so they could all live together. Mei, on the other hand, is the strict, bookworm type that follows the rules and makes sure everyone is doing their part. She is the student council president and the chairman’s granddaughter and you can tell just from looking at her that she doesn’t even know what the definition of fun is.
Now here’s the kicker, not long after they meet they both realize that they have feelings for each other. I think Mei already knew about her sexual preferences because she was the one who started this train of hotness. Also, when Mei was engaged to one of the teachers in the school, she didn’t look like she was enjoying any of his ‘affections’ towards her, but liked Yuzu almost instantly.
A lot of different things get between their forbidden love as they struggle to be a gay couple. This is still an ongoing series, so I don’t know how things are going to turn out for them yet. I think some people in this show might get shocked because some people like the parents don’t know about the relationship, but I think Mei’s grandfather had a little inkling of what she wanted especially after the whole teacher fiasco (for those of you who watched it know what I’m talking about).
This anime is nothing short of hot, suggestive and sweet. It’s interesting to see these two girls struggle in being in a relationship and help each other with their personal issues. This anime is very open about gay love, so I wouldn’t recommend this for you people out there that are homophobic in any way shape or form. But, for those other people though, I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did even though their aren’t many episodes out yet for our enjoyment. We can only wait and see what happens next.
Today I’ll be talking about another horror type anime called,“The King’s Game”, also known as,“Osama Game”, that was written by Nobuaki Kanazawa. This is the type of cruel and twisted horror that has no problem sucking you in within minutes of watching it.
It revolves mostly around a teenage boy named,” Nobuaki,” who is transferring from his old school. You can tell right away that something is wrong and he’s waiting for something to happen. He was really scared to get close to anyone and just wanted to be left alone. The only person who tried to really hard to be his friend in the beginning was Natsuko, a cheerful and bright girl who fell for Nobuaki at first sight or so she claims, at least. Not long after he gets there he and rest of his class get a text from the ‘King’ welcoming them to the game and that they must do everything it says or get punished which in most cases was die a horrible and gruesome death.
Nobuaki knew it was coming, so he wasn’t really surprised, but he didn’t know how to solve the problem. So, his only solution that he could come up with is if he doesn’t obey and dies as punishment then the game will hopefully end. Unfortunately, he ends up going through with the order because of Natsuko who in turn isn’t just a crazy two-faced bitch whose survived a previous King Game, but is Chiemi’s twin sister aka Nobuaki’s exgirlfriend.
Now Nobuaki not only has to find a way for everyone to survive, but stop Natsuko from meddling and getting everyone to turn on each other. This show is a rollercoaster of emotions and gets very twisted and very dark real quick. But, I have to point out some mistakes in the show’s logic and unsolved mysteries. One being the sister’s themselves, we never know how the sister’s got separated in the first place but only know that they born in a village that no longer exists on the map and that’s where the original King’s Game was played. According to the story, the first game was played at the sister’s village and 30 years have passed until Nabuaki/Natsuko’s previous games, correct? My question is how is everyone teenagers? They should at least be at their late 20s in college or something, right? So, that little detail is never explained in the show.
The anime never explains how the King’s Game was created in the first place; it only hinted to the fact that Chiemi and Natsuko’s father had something to do with its creation. Also, on how a virus that started on paper became an extremely intelligent computer virus? Was someone still working on it? Modified it somehow? And another thing that got was the ending to this entire insane scenario which was the hidden rule to end the game forever. The hidden message said that if all participants in the game die then the game will end and will not spread to new hosts. If there is a survivor then the game will spread and spread until all of humanity is destroyed. So, how and why did the game virus somehow transfer to someone who is totally unrelated to the current game?
Maybe all these questions are answered in the manga, I only watched the anime so my opinions and views are coming off of that. If someone finds the answer then don’t hesitate to leave a comment below. Maybe they plan on explaining it in a second season, I don’t know but I highly doubt a second season is going to come out into the woodwork any time soon because of how it ended. If I had a choose a favorite character in this show, I would have to pick Ria. She was a total badass every time she appeared in the show. Also, the way she died was so cool that I had to give her respect. How can someone be set on fire and act so cool as if nothing was going on is beyond me, but she pulled it off.
Ria had reasons for being the way she was and I’m not going to reveal them. You’ll just have to watch or read the manga in order to find out. I really enjoyed this since I usually go for the horror types of anime. I wouldn’t recommend this to immature people (you know who you are) because there are a lot of sexual and intimate scenes in this and hints of rape as well. Also, if you’re not into horror, gore or very twisted situations and people this isn’t for you. Other than that I really enjoyed the anime overall and if a second season is coming out, I’ll be keeping my eye open for it.
