The Ghost’s Wife

Twitter.comAlright everyone I have another comic/manga for you today. This one is called,” The Ghost Wife” by Saejung. Personally, I think it should be re-titled to, “The Ghost’s Wife” because it makes more sense, but that’s just me.

This revolves around a girl named Liz Kim who is an ordinary high school girl enjoying her everyday life (You know the usual) until she looks out the window one night to see a strange boy eating cats near her house. The boy notices her and stealthily makes his way inside her room. At this point you can tell he isn’t human, but when Liz comes face to face with him; he only says two things to her before she passes out.

Should I eat you or make you my wife?

Since then the ghost has been constantly following her around; protecting her from other evil spirits in the area. As the story progresses, you realize how powerful he really is. He can be seen or become invisible to anyone he chooses except Liz, he can go through other spirits like tissue paper and he can hypnotize anyone into believing whatever it is he wants you to believe. So, he was an unusually powerful.

White Snake
Drake

He made himself so comfortable invading her personal life on a daily basis that everyone around her has started calling him, Damon. As if it was the most normal thing in the world, if that wasn’t enough problems for this poor girl to handle another powerful ghost appears and claims that other stronger ghosts are going to be coming after her, too. Now her current ghost problem becomes her protector instead.

The only thing that I don’t get is how Liz went from not being able to see any spirits for so long to seeing all of them all of a sudden. I can’t blame Damon for all of it because he was even surprised when she saw him even though he barely shows his emotions most of the time. So, what sparked the supernatural foresight? This series is still ongoing, so maybe they’ll reveal that fact later on in the story.

I was really hesitate to get into this story because it was ongoing and the art style didn’t really catch my eye at first, but once I got into the story I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. My only question now is how is their new-found relationship is going to work? He’s still a ghosts after all? Is he planning on killing in the end so that they can be together forever? If you want to see the answer to these questions then your going to have to read yourself. Enjoy yourselves, everyone.

Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice

GiantBomb.com
Left to Right: Phoenix, Maya, Apollo and Nahyuta

Hi everyone, its been a while hasn’t it?

For today, I’m going to be talking about another game in the popular Ace Attorney series which is called,” Spirit of Justice”. I think I have played almost every game in this series, so you could say I’m a bit of a fan.

Every Ace Attorney game that’s ever come out has been an adventure, but this one kind of puts the cherry on the cake. The reason being is that everything that you’ve known about Ace Attorney and all the main characters in all the games come together in a strange twist of fate. When I saw so many different characters in this game my fan girl mode activated.

thefuturequeen.tumblr.com

Getting into the story a bit, it starts out with Phoenix Wright going to the country of Khura’in to visit Maya since she’s about to graduate from her two long years spirit channeling training. Of course, things don’t go as planned and he ends up in court where attorneys aren’t well liked and to make things worse they depend on the prosecutors and Rayfa’s ‘Dance of Devotion’ séance to determine if someone is guilty or not.

I don’t know if they cranked up the difficulty for this game or if the new controls involved in it had something to do with it, but this one was way harder than the previous ones. They were plenty of times I would be staring at the screen in frustration trying to figure out the answer.

The graphics in this game got a lot better in this one and I was surprised that they through in some anime scenes in there, too. Least to say that they put their all into this game and I loved it. The graphics, the new characters, the anime scenes and also the ever funny parts where the criminal finally goes crazy from getting caught. If you like visual novel or adventure games then I would give this a try and see how you like it.

Let’s Play

senscritique.comHello again, everyone!

Today I’ll be talking about another comic from Webtoon called, ” Let’s Play,” by Mongie. The main character ends up being a cute but nerdy girl named, Sam who has always dreamed of being a game developer. She worked her ass off until she was finally able to make her first game and shared it on a game developer site so others could play it and give her some feedback on how she did.

Things were going well until a famous gamer youtuber named, Marshall Law, played her game one day and gave it an awful review. Since, then things started going downhill for the poor girl. Her confidence along with her game developer reputation and dreams were dashed by one single internet icon. If things couldn’t get any worse, her new neighbor ends up being Marshall himself.

Pinterest.comThis story is really entertaining and I love the little emotion moments where the creator makes a person’s emotion look like shadow people. Also, I love the characters in this story and my favorite characters would have to Sam and Link and not just because I want them to end up together really badly. Sam is such a sweet girl and the embodiment of a gamer girl who needs to break of her shell. Link is her exact opposite, he’s not into games as much as she is, but he cares a lot about her and his really protective moments towards her are the cutest.

Besides, her life starting to bloom; she hasn’t given up on her dreams, even though, she was kicked to the curb and thrown away by the internet. Also, I want to put out there that it turns out that Marshall isn’t an asshole or anything. He’s just a popular gamer that didn’t realize how much power he has over the fate of people like Sam.

s7.instago.pwThis comic is still ongoing and I patiently wait for updates, so I can see if Sam and Link finally end up together and everyone else gets over their issues and problems. If your into slice of life or romance type of reads then this would be something I recommend that you read to pass the time. But, if you rather wait for it to be complete then I understand and give you props for your patience for waiting that long for that glorious moment to arrive. Hope you enjoy the story!

Angel of Death

NextEpisode.comSince its October let’s talk about some horror, shall we?

The anime, Angel of Death, is still kind of ongoing, but I’ll get into that later. It’s about a girl named, “Rachel”, who finds herself in a very strange situation. All she remembers in the beginning of the story is that something happened to her parents, then she went to her first counseling session. Soon after, she wakes up in a strange building where she finds out very quickly that she has been named a ‘sacrifice’ in that strange place and that people are out to kill her for some reason.

Her first encounter with Zack wasn’t a very good one because he was the first person to try to kill her in this show with a scythe. You can tell immediately that Zack hasn’t gotten all his lightbulbs screwed back into his head yet, but he doesn’t seem to mind it. After a couple of near close calls, she makes a deal with Zack that if she successfully help him escape this building then he’ll kill her. Weird, right?

But, I think Rachel has her reasons for agreeing to this.

As you watch the show it starts to feel like your watching a video game and after doing some digging, I wasn’t really surprised to find out that it was a video game before it was turned into an anime. The video game was launched to the world in 2015 in August and was created by Makoto Sanada.

Anyway, as time goes by and they tread deeper and deeper into the insanity of the mystery building more of Zack’s and Rachel’s pasts are revealed in the process. But, there are some questions that haven’t been answered yet. Why is Rachel there? Is she dead or alive? Is she in some kind of purgatory if she is dead? What did she do to deserve being sent to that place? The anime only shows you 12 of the 16 episodes the rest of the episodes you have to search the internet for.

If anyone know where to watch all 16 episodes I would greatly appreciate it if you put it in the comments, so we can all enjoy the ending.

You can play the video game and see if you can beat it to see the plot twist of an ending or if your neither a gamer or a watcher then you can enjoy reading the manga, too. There are so many mysteries to this show and so many unique characters that these two have to go through. For the episodes that I was able to watch, I found it quite enjoyable and I hope you do, too.

Kakuriyo: Hotel for Spirits

Blubberblabber.comAlright, today I’ll be going into an anime show called,” Kakuriyo”. It revolves around a girl named, Aoi, who was pretty much an ordinary girl other than the fact that she could see Ayakashi (aka other worldly beings) all her life. Things take a strange turn in her daily life after her grandfather died. Soon after his funeral, she gets a visit from Ōdanna, a handsome Ogre demon who spirits her away to the Hidden Realm so she can become his bride.

Totally confused about her new situation, she demands an explanation. Turns out her good old grandfather, Shiro, left a huge debt behind to Ōdanna and his hotel and never paid it back before he died. Knowing he couldn’t pay back the amount in time, he made a deal with Ōdanna saying that in exchange for his huge debt, he could take his granddaughter, Aoi, as his wife instead. Messed up, isn’t it?

BehindTheVoiceActors.com
Shiro

Even if this encounter was inevitable, Shiro could have at least warned her about the agreement so she could be mentally prepared when it happened. I know some of you out there would probably say ,’she would have run away’ or something like that, but let’s face it. Their Ayakashi from another realm, I’m pretty sure that no matter where she went in the world they were going to find her and bring her back kicking and screaming. Moving on, Aoi really didn’t want to get married to him for obvious reasons even though he was good-looking, kind-hearted and seemed to be wealthy enough to take good care of her for the rest of her life. So, she offered to pay the debt off by working for him in his hotel, the Tenjin’ya.

After the deal was made he became a bit of a dick to her and was super sure that she would come running back to him the moment, she realized that wouldn’t be able pay it all off fast enough. What he didn’t expect to happen was for her to find her place in the hotel and make her own eatery.

As time passes for her in the hotel, she meets all kind of new people, spirits and Ōdanna and Aoi get closer and closer. The show is still ongoing so I’m going to assume that they fall in love with each other and still get married in the end, but who knows maybe their will be a whole different ending to this. I do like this anime and I kind of feel like they got this idea from Spirited Away which is a very good movie by the way. There is a bit of mystery going on in the show and a lot of comedy, so if your into those kinds of genres then I would look into this anime quickly.

Incarceron

edu.glogster.comWarning: This may contain spoilers!

So, I know its been a while but I’m going to be talking about book this time around. I did say I wanted to add more books to the blog so here I go.

This one is called,”Incarceron”, that was written by Catherine Fisher. Now I will admit I was browsing the book store and this one happened to catch my eye. I can say without a doubt that I don’t regret buying this book at all.

Its revolves around two different people Claudia and Finn. Claudia was the daughter of the Warden that watched over and controlled Incarceron. She’s also in an arranged marriage to the queen’s only son. Finn, on the other hand, is a boy who was sent Incarceron a few years ago and not only doesn’t remember how he got there in the first place, but doesn’t remember his life before that, as well.

To anyone living in Incaceron, it’s the most hellish prison on Earth with no way out. To the people living outside of it, it’s a paradise that people can only dream about because only really special people can get in. (I smell trouble and a conspiracy here!)

As you read, the book switches between Claudia and Finn’s point of view and later on you see how these two people are connected with each other. This book is really has a steam punk feel to it and it really shows how there are many types of prisons in the world and it comes in many forms.

There are many interesting characters in this story but if I had to choose the one I loved and hated the most; then it would be Claudia. I loved how she used the ultimate force of girl power in her time facing off against all her enemies and not letting the system tell her what she could and could not do. For me personally, her only flaw was how innocent she was sometimes, the deeper in the game she got herself in the more she couldn’t come to terms that some people in this world will go as low as they possibly can in order to get what they want.

The one I hated the most was Keiro. Not the queen, the queen’s son or even the warden who all deserve a place in hell for what they’ve done, but Keiro really takes the cake with me. Keiro is Finn’s oath brother in Incarceron; as the title implies they sworn an oath to each other that they will always take care of each other and if one dies the other must avenge him. The thing is with me at least, those are just words. Words that can easily be broken given the right circumstances and this prison provides a ton of those. Keiro’s that type of person that looks trustworthy on the outside, but is full of shit on the inside. Everyone in this entire book tells Finn that Keiro is going to betray him over and over, but Finn has such blind faith in him and the oath that he in complete denial about his character. There are a lot of times that Keiro does some crazy or suspicious crap in this story. All you can hope for Finn is that he wakes up with a cup of reality sitting on the table; waiting for him.

With how this book ends, it kind of makes you wonder what’s going to happen next. Things are getting really intense with how things are going. I really enjoyed the adventure, the drama and the mystery this story contains and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

We Happy Few

WTFGamersOnly.comTold you this my next post wasn’t far behind. Alrighty then, let’s get into the meat and potatoes now.

This time around I’ll be talking about one of the new games that’s come out recently called,” We Happy Few,” a action-adventure game that was developed by Compulsion Games and can be on your pc or console. I heard a little about this game and when I got to see the trailer I knew I had to see more.

we-happy-few.wikia.com/wikThis centers around Arthur who from the looks of things is responsible for helping his company control the news to the public. According to the story, the United Kingdom lost the war to the Germans in an alternate universe where the Americans didn’t join in the war as the United Kingdom’s allies. One of the demands that the Germans made when they won the war was from them to give up all of their children for whatever reason.

They had no choice but to obey so they sent every child under 13 on a train to Germany. One of those unfortunate kids ended up being Arthur’s younger brother, Percy. As time went by the citizens of the United Kingdom slowly grew insane with guilt for what they’ve done to save their own skin, so they let their government to order scientists to make a drug called, Joy. This drug does exactly what the name implies; it makes you so happy that its creepy. I wouldn’t be surprised if people under the drug suddenly broke a limb or witness someone die and wouldn’t care too much about it. Anyway, after this drug was made the government made it a law that everyone had to take this drug, NO EXCEPTIONS.

So, now everyone is super happy for no reason. What the government failed to mention to everyone is that in order for the drug to trick your mind that your happy is for it to erase your memories, so now no one remembers anything about anything. In the game Arthur mentions things they’ve forgotten like “No one remembers what they read” or “When do we start eating rats?”

Speaking of rats enjoy this reaction video of gamers reacting to one of the surprising and disgusting moments in the game down below:

Anyway, Arthur remembers his long-lost brother after all this time after seeing a picture of them together in a newspaper. He decides to stop taking his Joy and goes on an epic journey to leave the country in order to find his brother in Germany. Better said than done with this mission, no one can go out the country without the proper paperwork plus if someone in the game suspects you then your chases by an angry mob and if caught by the police they’ll shove Joy back down your throat.

As you play the game you start to notice lots of story based things going on in here. For example, the super elite higher ups aren’t on Joy and that some people who you encounter in the game on missions are only acting like their on Joy all the time in order to avoid punishment.

The gameplay is really good and has a bit of a BioShock feel to it. The storyline is really interesting and so are the characters that you encounter in the game. I’m not going to ruin what happens at the end, but for me I was kind of disappointed because it’s not the good ending that I wanted to see, I just expected more and it leaves more questions than answers for me, at least. Still doesn’t stop me from saying that this was a really good game and if you like action, adventure, survival or a game with an awesome storyline then this is the game I would consider trying out.

Well, the site is moving over to Blue Host, so if you’re wondering why the site isn’t in WordPress anymore than that’s why. You guys have been awesome to me and I hope to find you guys give me the same type you’ve been showing me this whole time when I re-appear. Until then, see you later.

Ni No Kuni 2

G2A.comAlright everyone, this time I’m going to be talking about a game called,” Ni No Kuni 2″. This game was developed by Level-5  and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. I know that this is the second game in the series, but I’m only going to be talking about this one.

Its revolves around our two main characters Evan and Roland. Roland is the president in our modern world that gets teleported to another world after a disaster happens in his world and he almost dies. When he first appears he encounters, Evan, a human-cat hybrid that is next in line for the throne in the Ding Dong Dell kingdom. Trouble comes barreling their way when they realize that their being invaded and have to escape the palace before it too late.

After escaping the palace, Roland vows to stay in this world with Evan and help him build a new nation, where everyone can be happy. This is already a challenge in itself, but things get even more difficult when they meet Doloran who was a king to a forgotten nation over two thousand years ago. When they discover his plan to rip away other rulers kingsbonds from them in order to help him summon the Horned One, they realize that their racing against the clock.
PlaystationLifestyle.comFor those of you who don’t know a kingsbond is a bond that connects the ruler to not only their subjects, but their Kingmaker. A Kingmaker is pretty much like a god that acts like a guardian to the ruler; having a Kingmaker tells everyone around them that they are worthy enough to rule. That’s one of reasons why Evan can’t go strolling back to his Kingdom whenever he feels like it. Even if he were to take down the traitor Mausinger and all of his lackeys, he still wouldn’t be able to sit on the throne because he hasn’t gotten his Kingmaker yet.

He was supposed to get it during the crowning ceremony the same day that he met Roland and well……you can tell how well that played out for him.

Reddit.comSo, Evan goes to the Kings Cradle to get his own Kingmaker where he then meets Lofty. A squishy, yellow and spiked little thing, they were really disappointed and for good reason. Everyone else’s Kingmaker looks awesome and badass while his looks pathetic and weak looking.

Continuing on their journey they meet a lot of different characters along the way. Their all unique in their own way and bring something new to the table. I love all the problems and adventures they get into to if your into adventure or open world games. This game is also very generous when it comes to collecting items. Items are everywhere in the game, you can’t miss them.

What they make easy in collecting items and treasures they make harder when it comes to fighting monsters. You have to constantly be fighting to get a high enough level to beat any mini or big boss. Granted you don’t have to get the recommended level to beat the boss, but it’ll make the fight a lot easier on you if you did. You know the rule when you play against rpg bosses? Have 99 potions in stock so you can stay alive the entire time.

Sadly that rule does not apply in Ni No Kuni 2. They have it where no matter how potions/hi-potions or in this case soreaways you have in stock if you go into battle your only allowed to use ten of them. Sucks right? This makes fighting bosses a lot harder than it already is. Don’t worry it’s still very possible to kick boss ass even with this restriction.

I wouldn’t recommend this game to first time RPG players only because its different from the normal ones and could be a lot harder in some areas. I really loved the graphics in this game; it made me feel like I was playing inside a movie created by Hizo Miyazaki and Ghibli Studio. I hope that another game like this is already in woodwork for the future. This game was very enjoyable and fun to look at, I hope you all like it as much as I did playing it.
