Until Dawn

If you’ve read my last post then you saw that I briefly mentioned the game ‘ Until Dawn’. This game was made by Supermassive Games and produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. Ah, Sony you got to love them. Anyway, this is a survival horror game that revolves around this group of teenagers taking a vacation in a snowy cabin. They were all enjoying themselves until they decided to be cruel and thought it would be funny to prank one of the girls, Hannah, right in front of the guy she has a crush on. Devastated, she runs into the woods in the middle of a blizzard (because that’s the perfect place to run to when you want to be alone and cry) where soon her sister, Beth, tries to follow her.

The two sister are never seen again.

In the beginning you see a hint where their could be a monster in the woods, but you’re not so sure. A year goes by and the older brother of the two sisters, Josh, invites everyone to come back on the anniversary of their deaths because he says it will help everyone get some closure. Everything goes downhill from there.

If it was me in this game, I would have never gone back to that place. I would have just gone and seen a therapist or something for a couple of weeks and just be done with it. I would never go back to the place my friends died in a creepy freaking cabin, no doubt. Plus the bodies were never found even when everyone did a complete search of the mountain. I would be way to paranoid to go to a place like that, but that’s me. I don’t know about you guys.

This is what I call a video game movie where you watch most of it and you just make a quick decision here or there. The reason I liked this game is because you never know what is going to pop out at you and scare the crap out of you. Every decision you make decides who lives and who dies and let me tell you, its kind of hard keeping everyone alive but it is possible. Also, there are different endings every time you start over and change something from before.

The characters were very diverse and if I had to pick who I liked the most and who I hated the most I would say I liked Sam the most because she kicked ass in the game and in a towel no less! You ever tried defending yourself or running in a towel without letting it fall? I haven’t, but that shit don’t easy. The person I hated the most was……a tie. Between Emily and Jessica, they were both complete bitches in the story and I can’t decide who I hated more. Anyways, this game is super easy to play, you just have to be quick with the buttons or you won’t last long. Also, this game is not for people who don’t enjoy a good scary movie. Enjoy!
