My Deepest Secret

goodreads.comHello!

I’m going to be talking about a new comic I found recently that’s called, “My Deepest Secret” or more like my Yandere Boyfriend by Hanza Art. Now, even though, the deep secret in the relationship between Emma and her boyfriend, Elios is revealed rather quickly; doesn’t mean their aren’t many other secrets to come to wrap our brains around.

For example, how did Elios and Emma know each other in the past? Why doesn’t Emma remember him? Was their meeting a pure coincidence or planned? Who is Lee? What’s Elios’s back story? Do we have a love triangle on our hands?

The questions keep coming with no answer from the creator’s story but that’s because the comic is really new, so its ongoing. Besides that the story takes you in really quickly with the story revealing Elios’s dark and cruel habits. It seems that he’ll hide this fact from Emma and go to great lengths to take out her enemies without her knowledge. However, by how things are going, she’s going to start putting two and two together at some point. I mean, how many times can your recent enemy die so suddenly before you start to take a hint?!

Now when it comes to Emma, I think she just wants to live as normal and peaceful life as much, as possible. The reason being the story has hinted that she went through a terrible childhood and doesn’t want any kind of repeat of it in her adult life. Sadly, for her through she seems to be a magnet for trouble when it comes to the male species. For Emma’s sake, I’m trying to hope that the worst case scenario didn’t happen to this poor girl when she was a kid, but we can only wait and see what the next chapter brings.

I really like this story so far and its dark theme. It kind of makes me wonder if it’ll get darker than this or will the story finally give you the answers you want or just give you more questions? Guess all we can do is patiently wait and see what Hanza Art brings to the table.

A Silent Voice

Shout! Factory.comWe’re going to be diving into an animated movie called, “A Silent Voice” or “The Shape of Voice” whichever title you prefer.  It was produced by Kyoto Animation, directed by Naoko Yamada and written by Reiko Yoshida. With that said I would like to thank everyone in involved in the making of this awesome movie.

Now this movie mostly revolves around two main characters who are Shoya and Shoko. Shoko transferred over to Shoko’s elementary school where everyone learned that she was deaf and had to wear hearing aides in order to hear at least a little bit. But, still preferred to communicate with everyone through her notebook. For some reason, Shoya and her friends start bullying her and anyone trying to befriend her. Until one day, Shoko’s mom makes an complaint to the school which in turn makes Shoya’s friends turn on him in order to save themselves from punishment.

With the bullying and harassment exposed Shoya’s mom was forced to pay back all the money to Shoko’s family in compensation to him breaking or taking her hearing aides. Shoya learned three life lessons during this time:

Karma is a bitch

During tough or dire situations, you find out who your real friends are

That all of your actions come with rewards and consequences

AminoApps.comIn this his case very harsh consequences because not only did his family have to give up the money to Shoko’s family, but he also lost all his friends and everything he did to her was being done to him. This stuck with him even after Shoko suddenly transferred out to another school. Eventually, he did get to transfer to another school too, but the mental and emotional damage was already done by then because in his new school he didn’t have any friends there either, he had trouble looking at people in the eye and his depression seemed to be so bad that his mind couldn’t even bother to remember people faces. The people not important to him in his life had huge Xs over their faces showing that he didn’t really care for their existence so the only people that initially didn’t have an X over their was face were pretty much family members.

Fate seems to intervene once more with Shoko and Shoya reuniting in a sign language class. Shoya wants to redeem himself for his past mistakes concerning her, so he decides to befriend her. Then, the beautiful drama journey between these two is born. This is a total tear jerker of a movie and if you watch this movie and you don’t shed a tear then I’m pretty sure you don’t have a soul.

Tumblr.comIn this movie, new friendships are born, old ones are renewed, jealousy and love are sprung and speaking of jealousy I think Naoka had a crush on Shoya because of the fact that she blames Shoko for how their friendship ended in elementary school and now how Shoko and Shoya seem to be so close now. So, she ends up becoming a bitter bitch in trying to sabotage their new found friendship anyway she can. What I think Naoko never ever understood from that childhood experience was that their little group of friends weren’t really friends to begin with because even if Shoko wasn’t in the picture; some other time in the future something else was going to break them apart. Also, she had plenty of time after the incident to rekindle her friendship with Shoya but the fact that she never bothered because she was afraid of becoming an social outcast herself spoke volumes to me.

Anyway, I really loved this movie it moved my heart to tears. Their are a lot of life lessons to be learned in it, makes you appreciate life as a whole and how it shows you that things can always get better with time plus the movie itself was overall beautiful. I recommend anime and non-anime watchers to definitely watch, but if you don’t feel like crying your eyes out while watching it, I will understand.

The Ghost’s Wife

Twitter.comAlright everyone I have another comic/manga for you today. This one is called,” The Ghost Wife” by Saejung. Personally, I think it should be re-titled to, “The Ghost’s Wife” because it makes more sense, but that’s just me.

This revolves around a girl named Liz Kim who is an ordinary high school girl enjoying her everyday life (You know the usual) until she looks out the window one night to see a strange boy eating cats near her house. The boy notices her and stealthily makes his way inside her room. At this point you can tell he isn’t human, but when Liz comes face to face with him; he only says two things to her before she passes out.

Should I eat you or make you my wife?

Since then the ghost has been constantly following her around; protecting her from other evil spirits in the area. As the story progresses, you realize how powerful he really is. He can be seen or become invisible to anyone he chooses except Liz and her brother, he can go through other spirits like tissue paper and he can hypnotize anyone into believing whatever it is he wants you to believe. So, he was an unusually powerful.

White Snake
Drake

He made himself so comfortable invading her personal life on a daily basis that everyone around her has started calling him, Damon. As if it was the most normal thing in the world, if that wasn’t enough problems for this poor girl to handle another powerful ghost appears and claims that other stronger ghosts are going to be coming after her, too. Now her current ghost problem becomes her protector instead.

The only thing that I don’t get is how Liz went from not being able to see any spirits for so long to seeing all of them all of a sudden. I can’t blame Damon for all of it because it seems that Damon has been trying to get her attention for years and was severely surprised when she was finally able to even though he barely shows his emotions most of the time. So, what sparked the supernatural foresight? This series is still ongoing, so maybe they’ll reveal that fact later on in the story.

I was really hesitate to get into this story because it was ongoing and the art style didn’t really catch my eye at first, but once I got into the story I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. My only question now is how is their new-found relationship is going to work? He’s still a ghost, after all? Is he planning on killing her in the end so that they can be together forever? If you want to see the answer to these questions then your going to have to read yourself. Enjoy yourselves, everyone.

Anatolia Story

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all are enjoying this lovely spring weather that we’re having.

Today’s manga is another classic type of manga that I’ve realized that I’ve read a long time ago, but nnneevvvverrr talked about it for some reason on my blog. I bet I’m going to suddenly remember a ton of manga/anime that I forgot o mention after this, but it’s all good.

Anatolia Story or betterFastMangu.com known as Red River was made by Chie Shinohara and is a total of 28 volumes and is completed, so you all don’t have to worry about cliff hangers and waiting months to years waiting for what happens next. It’s about an average high school girl named Yuri who suddenly gets dragged through a random puddle by a lot of outstretched hands to find herself reappearing not only in hundreds of years in the past, but in a total different country to boost. She goes from Japan to reappearing in Hattusa which is the capital of the Hittite Empire in Anatolia.

This girl then meets the Crown Prince of the Hittite Empire,” Prince Kail”, who protects her from the queen after learning of her situation. Basically, the queen brought Yuri to their time and place because she wants to kill her and use her blood for a curse that will kill all of the remaining princes, so that her son can take the throne and rule the empire. Don’t get it twisted though, this is the queen’s idea not the son’s.

HubPagesThis story is full of romance, murder, drama and conspiracy theories, but their were a lot of touching and romantic moments, too. The story will totally blow you away and you end up loving all the interesting characters that show up in this story (except the queen of course). Besides, Prince Kail my other favorite character would have to be, Ramses, who is a Egyptian general striving to become the next Pharaoh. This guy is not only a handsome devil, but is super smart and a total womanizer and to top it has a thing for Yuri!

(sniff sniff) Do I smell a love triangle? I think I do.

mangarock.comI have read and re-read this series over and over during the last couple of years even though I already know what’s going to happen. So, I can tell you its a really good story if your into romance, murder, conspiracy theories, love triangles, action and history. This manga has a little something for everyone. Also, I want to say that you should only read this series if you are of the mature nature because there is a lot nudity and suggestive clothing in this manga. If you are though, then enjoy to your heart’s content.

Eggnoid

Twitter.comThis one is an ongoing series called,“Eggnoid”, that was made by Archie the Redcat. Of course, that’s not the creator’s real name but that’s what they want to be called. But, I still thank you for creating this so I guess I doesn’t matter what you call yourself.

Anyway, Eggnoid is about a teenage girl named Ran who one day wakes up in her bedroom to find a giant mechanical egg in the middle of the room and it opens up to have a handsome man inside of it. She’s named the guy, Eggy, because of how he came into her life. Also, the moment he was hatched, he calls Ran his mom and he doesn’t know anything about himself. So, she decided until he gets his memories back she’ll take care of him.

I think the reason Eggy showed up to her is because she was chosen because right before he hatched a voice said to her that this person will heal her loneliness and he will become a great person for the whole world. That makes sense considering that she has only one friend, Olfie, who is also her next door neighbor. Lately, he’s been acting distant and cold to her after he got his new girlfriend (or that’s what she thought) and now they barely speak to each other unless its required.

In the story, you come to find out why Olfie is doing what he’s doing to Ran. This is another I’m doing the wrong thing for the right reasons type situation. I already knew what he’s doing is going to blow up in his face eventually and when it does, he’s going to have no one to blame but himself. I can’t wait for Eggy to get more intelligent and all, so he can start acting like Ran’s boyfriend because it looks like Olfie and Ran aren’t going to be together anytime soon.

This manga hasn’t gotten too far into the story, so if you don’t like incomplete stories or stories that just started then I wouldn’t suggest this one. But, if it doesn’t matter to you and your into romance and sci-fi type of stories then give this one a shot. Theirs a lot going on in the background of this story than what is said and done between these three and I can’t wait until they reveal the answer to us all.

Is Fire Emblem: Echoes a tough game?

Nintendo UK.comThis is a game I never got around to playing until now. It was developed by Intelligent Systems and was made a while ago before I got my hands on it. The story revolves around two people Alm and Celica who were pretty much attached the hip when they were kids. But, after an attempted attack from a vicious knight named Slayde who tried to kidnap Celica after recognizing her as the lost princess of the country. Having being separated for years, they obviously take different paths in order to bring peace back into the world.

Warning: Possible spoilers ahead

Alm becomes a warrior and a leader to the rebellion force that calls itself the “Deliverance”. The rebellion’s goal is to take out King Rudolf who rules the opposing country that’s trying to take over theirs.  They all hope that Alm can take out King Rudolf before things get too bad. On the other hand, Celica has become a warrior priestess who believes that using violence is wrong (even though she’s taking out people left and right herself) and that there is a peaceful solution to this crisis.

Her solution is to find Mila who is the goddess of their country that is supposed to be keeping their country, at least, nice and peaceful. Find her and ask her why is she letting everything go to shit lately? I think it’s painfully clear that something must have happened to her if she’s in charge of making sure nothing happens to the humans in her domain.

Fire Emblem GodsWhile I’m talking about Gods and such might, as well talk about Duma and Mila. Duma and Mila ancient gods that happen to be siblings, too. When it came time to rule over the humans they both disagreed about how they should be ruled. Duma thought that only the strong should be in control have all the wealth and power and rule over the weak. While Mila thought that everyone should be equal and share the wealth and prosperity. Since, they couldn’t agree they decided to split the world in half so each god had a place to rule and made a contract with each other that forbid the other from ever interfering with their side of the world.

Doing so would mean total war.

Personally, I understand their ruling styles, but the same time I see the flaws in it. Duma believes that as long as there is a strong leader then the weaker people will be led to prosperity. What actually happens is strong people becoming evil, angry and only thinking about themselves while the weaker people become poor and treated like dirt. During Mila’s rule, she’s the complete opposite of Duma, believing that as long as everyone is equal and share everything things will be just dandy. Problem with is the people became spoiled, weak and even when people were starving to death because they were too nice and gave away everything they had. So, its same to say that if they combined their ways then the world would end up just right.

Now would I consider Fire Emblem Echoes a hard game? It’s a bit of a challenge I will say that. Is it an impossible game to beat? No, but I do wish I could have lowered the difficulty a little bit because for one if one of your players dies they are permanently dead until you find a revival well (which doesn’t even allow you to revive all your characters). These wells are a bit hard to find, so you better be sure that you’ve searched every nook and cranny when you’re in a dungeon or could have missed it without knowing it.

Smashboards.com

Also, I didn’t even know about the revival wells until I did some digging in the internet about what to do about bringing dead players back into the game. It wasn’t even in the tutorial which I  don’t even know why. I would like to think that would have been a nice little detail to tell the gamer playing this freaking game. Also, one other thing that you figure out, eventually, is that you need to talk to everyone just in case they want to join your group. For me, I like to have as many people in battle as I can, but it sucks when most of them have died and I haven’t gotten to a well yet.

BehindTheVoiceActors.comI’m loving some of these characters though. One of my favorites is Gray who is that strong, confident and funny type that says things that just make you fall in love with him right away. Another favorite is Faye (even if I’m a little concerned about her) she’s another childhood friend of Alm and has been in love with him for as long as she can remember and that love as not only grown, but is bordering total obsession. During the talks they have during some of the battles, you can tell that she would do anything for Alm and makes it painfully clear that she’s into him, but he doesn’t seem to be taking the hint. It kind of makes you feel sorry for her.

The storyline is really good and the characters are really interesting. I’ve had several theories about Alm’s identity throughout playing this game, but I’m not going to tell you who he really is. But, if there is one thing we do know it’s that Alm and Celica do not end up together. No matter how much we want them to, they don’t. That’s not really a spoiler if you’ve watched the beginning cutscenes. I’ve enjoyed playing this game and if you like RPG/adventure games then you will, too.

Until Dawn

VG247.comIf you’ve read my last post then you saw that I briefly mentioned the game ‘ Until Dawn’. This game was made by Supermassive Games and produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. Ah, Sony you got to love them. Anyway, this is a survival horror game that revolves around this group of teenagers taking a vacation in a snowy cabin. They were all enjoying themselves until they decided to be cruel and thought it would be funny to prank one of the girls, Hannah, right in front of the guy she has a crush on. Devastated, she runs into the woods in the middle of a blizzard (because that’s the perfect place to run to when you want to be alone and cry) where soon her sister, Beth, tries to follow her.

The two sister are never seen again.

GameGuides.comIn the beginning you see a hint where their could be a monster in the woods, but you’re not so sure. A year goes by and the older brother of the two sisters, Josh, invites everyone to come back on the anniversary of their deaths because he says it will help everyone get some closure. Everything goes downhill from there.

If it was me in this game, I would have never gone back to that place. I would have just gone and seen a therapist or something for a couple of weeks and just be done with it. I would never go back to the place my friends died in a creepy freaking cabin, no doubt. Plus the bodies were never found even when everyone did a complete search of the mountain. I would be way to paranoid to go to a place like that, but that’s me. I don’t know about you guys.

This is what I call a video game movie where you watch most of it and you just make a quick decision here or there. The reason I liked this game is because you never know what is going to pop out at you and scare the crap out of you. Every decision you make decides who lives and who dies and let me tell you, its kind of hard keeping everyone alive but it is possible. Also, there are different endings every time you start over and change something from before.

The characters were very diverse and if I had to pick who I liked the most and who I hated the most I would say I liked Sam the most because she kicked ass in the game and in a towel no less! You ever tried defending yourself or running in a towel without letting it fall? I haven’t, but that shit don’t easy. The person I hated the most was……a tie. Between Emily and Jessica, they were both complete bitches in the story and I can’t decide who I hated more. Anyways, this game is super easy to play, you just have to be quick with the buttons or you won’t last long. Also, this game is not for people who don’t enjoy a good scary movie. Enjoy!

Thanks for watching!

The Earl and The Fairy

This manga is about a girl in the 19th century who is a fairy doctor. A fairy doctor’s job is to communicate with fairies and solve their problems or solve the problems that a fairy is causing a human. This fairy doctor is named Lydia and she took over this job after her mother died.

Business wise I would say she isn’t doing so good right now. She doesn’t get a lot of cases since now fairy doctors are super rare to find and most people don’t believe in fairies. The people around her all think she’s crazy because they always find her talking to herself when really talking to a fairy. Most of the time she’s talking to a fairy named Nico who takes the form of a cat.

Later. Lydia decides to visit her father in London when she ends getting kidnapped……..twice.

The first time was by a man named Mr.Huskley who tricked her into thinking that her father sent him. Then, got tricked and kidnapped again by a guy named Edgar who makes her think that he is a prisoner and needs her help in escaping. They do escape and Edgar reveals to her that he is an Earl and that he is the descendant of the Blue Knight King.

The Blue Knight King is a guy who lived a long time ago and legend says that he ruled a land where fairies lived. He vanished one day, but left behind a treasure sword that was for his family. Edgar claims that sword was recently stolen from his family and that he needs her help in finding it.

Lydia is suspicious of him and who can blame her. Edgar fakes being a prisoner and says he’s an Earl and now he wants her to help him just like that. Soon though, she realizes that she doesn’t have much of a choice. This guy is like a gangster disguised as a handsome prince and if she won’t help him, then the chances of her living are quite slim.

This a really good story. but theirs one thing I’m confused about. Most people in this manga can’t see, hear nor believe in fairies but does Edgar have the ability to see and hear them. I say this because in the beginning he mentions the cat, but when he catches Lydia talking to Nico, he says he can’t see him.

A couple times later its the same thing over and over. So, can he see him or not? Is he gaining the ability to see or something? Its really confusing. I kind of felt like I was watching Family guy a little bit. You know when Stewie talks all the time but no one notices. But, a few episodes later they comment on what he just said making it seem like their just ignoring him. That’s how I felt I can’t tell if he has the ability to see fairies or not. If he does have the ability then is he just ignoring Nico?

That for me is a mystery and I think theirs more to Edgar’s past than he’s letting on. For example, who is this Prince Character that he keeps talking about? And what did he do to him. I’m waiting for him to appear and have a showdown with Edgar.

Unfortunately, this manga is not complete and I do not when it will be. But, like I always say if you don’t mind it then go and read this mysterious and magical story of The Earl and The Fairy.

Corpse Party: Another Child

This Corpse Party I would say would be the second season of the first Corpse Party, just with different characters. In this Corpse party, the main character is a girl named Tamaki who is also a psychic.

Her school is about to be shut down and almost everybody is getting transferred to schools in the city, except for a select few like Tamaki. Tamaki doesn’t seem to have many friends, but many enemies. The leader of these bullies would have to be Erina, who picks on her because Tamaki’s boyfriend, Yuuma, doesn’t like her. That’s what I don’t get, why would you pick on the do think timid girl because she has a boyfriend that is not hot for you?

But, I did think that a little bit was Tamaki’s fault. She was so prideful that she wouldn’t tell anyone that she was being bullied. Also, if she wasn’t so shy and everything and just told Erina off then she would have backed off or it could have made it a lot worse, who knows.

I like this new Corpse Party for several reasons. First off, the mystery behind it. If you’ve already seen the first one then that part is no longer a mystery, but when you find out that theirs another creepy ghost girl haunting the place while Sachiko is just sleeping someplace else, it kind of makes you wonder. Secondly, why does this ghost have a fascination with Tamaki? Is it because she’s the one responsible for bringing them her or is it something else?

We know from the first Corpse Party that Sachiko and all the other spirits and dead bodies are trapped in that other dimension. But, for some strange reason we caught her hanging around Tamaki before the spell was cast. How and why is the question and the story just sucks you right in.

Another reason I liked this manga so much is because we see a couple of the old characters in this version which I thought was awesome. Since, this manga is still ongoing I do not know if we’ll end up seeing all of them or maybe the ones who didn’t make it out from the last story.

Anyway, this version of Corpse Party is a really interesting read with a lot more mystery behind it. I really hope that Tamaki will face her fears and get out and that someone or something kills Erina.

Mitsu Aji Blood

This manga is by Mitsuki, Miko and is also known as Honey Blood. It revolves around a girl named Hinata who one day notices that we have a new next door neighbor named Junya. Junya is handsome, mysterious, a famous writer and…….a vampire!

I kind of get confused on what the people know in this story about beings of the supernatural because in the beginning when people were being killed in a very vampire-like fashion, they thought it was vampires. But, one of Hinata’s friends keeps saying that vampires do not exist. I’m sure her friend isn’t the only one who thinks that. So, it raises the question, do the people in this story know about vampires or not?

Also, when these murders started to take place is the same time that her new neighbor, Junya moved in. So, of course, she was instantly suspicious of him. I also think she was getting curious about him because she was attracted to him. He has a beautiful female editor who comes to see him all the time and at first it looks like they are ‘sleeping together’ all the time. Looks can be deceiving though.

Eventually, Hinata and Junya become a couple (like we didn’t see this coming) and the story continues. I could already tell that the editor didn’t approve of their relationship because she was jealous. I think Hinata should take her jealousy as a total self-esteem boost because the handsome vampire didn’t want the hot and curvy editor, he wanted Hinata. She’s not sexy, I would say that she’s cute or adorable.

Also, Hinata has acquired one of the laziest or most laid-back boyfriend in the world. Other than working on his new book, he eats (drinks her blood), sleeps, teases her or goes out for a midnight stroll. Whenever, Hinata tries to get him to do things that she wants to do, she has to literally drag him out the house in order for him to do it.

Note: I don’t sunlight can kill him, but it does make him extremely weak.

As the story, goes on you’ll find out that more and more about Junya’s past and how it’ll affect Hinata’s future. You’ll have to read this manga to find out. But, I think that their realationship is totally hilarious and adorable.
