Corpse Party: Another Child

This Corpse Party I would say would be the second season of the first Corpse Party, just with different characters. In this Corpse party, the main character is a girl named Tamaki who is also a psychic.

Her school is about to be shut down and almost everybody is getting transferred to schools in the city, except for a select few like Tamaki. Tamaki doesn’t seem to have many friends, but many enemies. The leader of these bullies would have to be Erina, who picks on her because Tamaki’s boyfriend, Yuuma, doesn’t like her. That’s what I don’t get, why would you pick on the do think timid girl because she has a boyfriend that is not hot for you?

But, I did think that a little bit was Tamaki’s fault. She was so prideful that she wouldn’t tell anyone that she was being bullied. Also, if she wasn’t so shy and everything and just told Erina off then she would have backed off or it could have made it a lot worse, who knows.

I like this new Corpse Party for several reasons. First off, the mystery behind it. If you’ve already seen the first one then that part is no longer a mystery, but when you find out that theirs another creepy ghost girl haunting the place while Sachiko is just sleeping someplace else, it kind of makes you wonder. Secondly, why does this ghost have a fascination with Tamaki? Is it because she’s the one responsible for bringing them her or is it something else?

We know from the first Corpse Party that Sachiko and all the other spirits and dead bodies are trapped in that other dimension. But, for some strange reason we caught her hanging around Tamaki before the spell was cast. How and why is the question and the story just sucks you right in.

Another reason I liked this manga so much is because we see a couple of the old characters in this version which I thought was awesome. Since, this manga is still ongoing I do not know if we’ll end up seeing all of them or maybe the ones who didn’t make it out from the last story.

Anyway, this version of Corpse Party is a really interesting read with a lot more mystery behind it. I really hope that Tamaki will face her fears and get out and that someone or something kills Erina.
