Just as the title suggests this class is for assassins in training only! This anime was made by Yusei Matsui and I’ve got to say this one was really fun to watch. The teens in this story are placed in what I like to call the ” Troublemaker Class” because their school system is fucked up. The school that they go to is really strict and elite, so to everyone that attends that school; grades are everything. If you don’t have good grades then your a pile of shit in their eyes and a waste of time.
If that wasn’t bad enough, instead, of kicking the students out so they can find another school to go to their twisted and dark principal, Mr. Asano, decides that he wants to use the failing students as examples to the other kids as to what will happen to you if your grades start to slip. I think the principal is a really dark and sadistic person and his son is no better. During the show, I didn’t know what would be worse if the principal stayed in power the whole time or the son taking over.
Anyway, these students are miserable since their lives suck but one day out of nowhere the freaking moon explodes. Then, national security comes into their classroom dragging a very smiley, yellow alien that claims to have blown up the moon and then says that he’ll do the same thing to Earth and that the only way he’ll stop his plans is if one of the students is able to assassinate him within a year. From that day on the Assassination Classroom was born!
This show was really hilarious and exciting to watch. While I was watching it, I was wondering why I haven’t watched it sooner. My favorite characters besides, Korosensei, would have to be Karma and Nagisa. Karma came off as a psychotic badass to me and I already knew that he was going to drive Korosensei insane. Later, in the story you’ll find out that theirs more to him than that and for all we know he could be the principal’s son’s long lost twin brother.
I mean really now? Did the creators for this anime just suddenly get lazy one day and just recycle Karma’s character and think we wouldn’t notice?! The only difference between the two is their hair color and clothes, that’s it. Nothing else! I’m watching this show to see if either the other characters will notice how similar they are or if by chance they’ll explain this. So far no dice on either scenario.
I like Nagisa, as well, because he was secretly badass. He was that type of guy that I think most people can relate to. Normal guy, even though, he looks like a girl in disguise but doesn’t have a clue what he’s good at until the assassin thing comes in. Turns out, he’s a natural born assassin. He’s starting to become so good that he’s starting to scare his teachers. My favorite thing about Nagisa besides him being awesome are his inner monologues when he fights. I don’t know if I should freak out or laugh, but I certainly enjoy them.
This anime is really entertaining and I encourage anyone to go watch it. They would be missing out if they don’t and yes this is also a manga. So, if you enjoy reading more than watching or want to do both then their you go. My guess on what is going to happen in this story, eventually, is that the year goes by and no one has killed him so everyone freaks out, but he ends up not blowing up the planet because he had such a nice time with everyone. Again that’s just a guess on what I think is going to happen. I really hope that this anime gets a season 2, it really deserves another season.
Thanks for Reading!
