Riddle Story of the Devil

rorymuses.wordpress.comHello everyone! Its been a while since I lasted posted anything, but right now I’m about to talk the anime Riddle Story of Devil or also known as Akuma no riddle. This anime was really fun to watch and it was hilarious all the way through. It’s about a group teenage girl assassins who get called in from all over the world to participate in Class Black.

Class Black is an event where assassins are selected go to a regular high school and pretend to be students while also trying to eliminate the target before the rest of her classmates. Whoever kills the target first will have any one wish granted. The person who we revolve around is Tokaku Azuma, who is a low-key badass my book. She comes from a long line of assassins that make her feared among her classmates and she’s as cold as ice.

The second main character and the unfortunate target in this year’s Class Black is Haru, a cheery and naive girl that wants to be friends with everyone. She was so freaking naive that sometimes that I just wanted to punch her in the face because no matter how bad things got and no matter how hard everyone was trying to kill her, she kept trying to be friends with them as if that was going to change their minds or something. I kept looking at the screen sometimes like,” Can someone slap her, please?”

In the beginning, Tokaku became so intrigued with Haru that, even though, she was sent there to kill her like everyone else, she decided that she was going to protect her instead. I loved every character in this show even the oblivious teacher that had no clue what was happening the entire time. My favorite would have to be Mahiru/Shinya Banba, they were both crazy and super weird and they both made me laugh every time they showed up. Also, I was very shocked at her weapon of choice which was a freaking sledge hammer! I was scared for Haru when she decided to try killing her it was like watching a horror movie with the crazy psycho.

weareanime-cosplay.comThis is a great anime and if you love hot girls (no matter how crazy and dangerous they are), action, mystery and friendship then all of you will definitely love this show and the manga, too.

Assassination Classroom

Source: http://www.anime-verlast.blogspot.com

Just as the title suggests this class is for assassins in training only! This anime was made by Yusei Matsui and I’ve got to say this one was really fun to watch. The teens in this story are placed in what I like to call the ” Troublemaker Class” because their school system is fucked up. The school that they go to is really strict and elite, so to everyone that attends that school; grades are everything. If you don’t have good grades then your a pile of shit in their eyes and a waste of time.

If that wasn’t bad enough, instead, of kicking the students out so they can find another school to go to their twisted and dark principal, Mr. Asano, decides that he wants to use the failing students as examples to the other kids as to what will happen to you if your grades start to slip. I think the principal is a really dark and sadistic person and his son is no better. During the show, I didn’t know what would be worse if the principal stayed in power the whole time or the son taking over.

Anyway, these students are miserable since their lives suck but one day out of nowhere the freaking moon explodes. Then, national security comes into their classroom dragging a very smiley, yellow alien that claims to have blown up the moon and then says that he’ll do the same thing to Earth and that the only way he’ll stop his plans is if one of the students is able to assassinate him within a year. From that day on the Assassination Classroom was born!

This show was really hilarious and exciting to watch. While I was watching it, I was wondering why I haven’t watched it sooner. My favorite characters besides, Korosensei, would have to be Karma and Nagisa. Karma came off as a psychotic badass to me and I already knew that he was going to drive Korosensei insane. Later, in the story you’ll find out that theirs more to him than that and for all we know he could be the principal’s son’s long lost twin brother.

I mean really now? Did the creators for this anime just suddenly get lazy one day and just recycle Karma’s character and think we wouldn’t notice?! The only difference between the two is their hair color and clothes, that’s it. Nothing else! I’m watching this show to see if either the other characters will notice how similar they are or if by chance they’ll explain this. So far no dice on either scenario.

I like Nagisa, as well, because he was secretly badass. He was that type of guy that I think most people can relate to. Normal guy, even though, he looks like a girl in disguise but doesn’t have a clue what he’s good at until the assassin thing comes in. Turns out, he’s a natural born assassin. He’s starting to become so good that he’s starting to scare his teachers. My favorite thing about Nagisa besides him being awesome are his inner monologues when he fights. I don’t know if I should freak out or laugh, but I certainly enjoy them.

This anime is really entertaining and I encourage anyone to go watch it. They would be missing out if they don’t and yes this is also a manga. So, if you enjoy reading more than watching or want to do both then their you go. My guess on what is going to happen in this story, eventually,  is that the year goes by and no one has killed him so everyone freaks out, but he ends up not blowing up the planet because he had such a nice time with everyone. Again that’s just a guess on what I think is going to happen. I really hope that this anime gets a season 2, it really deserves another season.

Once Bitten Twice Shy (Jaz Parks Series)

The first book to the Jaz Parks series is called “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” by Jennifer Rardin, who is unfortunately deceased and will be missed.

The first book mostly centers around a woman named Jaz Parks who works for a company that tracks down and kills evil supernaturals. In this story, supernaturals finally came out of the dark and have taken their place in society. Also, because of this the government has placed several laws for the supernaturals to follow because if they don’t they’ll send Jaz Parks to come find and kill you.

She’s known for being one of the best assassins that they have, but also one of the most reckless. Her boss, Pete, is a serious penny pincher so when he has to keep paying for all of the bills for repairs that she keeps breaking like expensive cars, hospital bills, state of the art weaponry, he gets her a partner.

That partner is Vayl. A sexy and powerful century old vampire who has the power to control ice. Theirs  a lot of mystery around him that comes with all vampires. Vayl wanted to become Jaz’s partner for some reason which he is yet to reveal to her. I could already tell that he was in love with her and was falling harder to more they were together. But, what good would any love story be without a love rival.

That’s when the sweet jokester named Cole Bemont comes in. He’s what every girl dreams of dating, which ends up driving Vayl up the wall. This was so jealous of Cole that the moment they saw each other, they kept sizing each other up. Since, Vayl doesn’t show much emotion except maybe anger or disapproval the only way someone knows how he’s feeling is by the temperature in the room. Since, he has the power to control ice when he’s really mad about something, he’ll make the room drop a couple of degrees.

Jaz and Vayl are like fire and ice. They are complete opposites but work really well together. So, far they have encountered vampires, demons and seers. I look forward to reading the second book to see what will happen to this ass kicking duo.
