The title of this manga is a mouthful, but the story and idea surrounding it is pretty awesome. Unlike Sword Art Online or .Hack//Sign this manga describes a world where people live their lives like an RPG game. What I mean by that is that these people are born in this world where they have to fight monsters to get money, have their stats tattooed on their back and can form parties which they call ‘familia’ here.
They can even buy potions and armor to help boost up their status and health which also made me wonder what would happen when they die. I haven’t seen anyone die yet in this manga, but it makes me wonder do people just die like anybody else or do they disintegrate like the monsters? If they do, do they get another chance at life?
In this interesting world, it centers around a open minded boy named Bell who wants to be an elite adventurer. But, when he firsts starts out things do go as planned. First of all, he makes a contract with a goddess named Hestia who wears the same ripped dress and doesn’t have not one worshiper except Bell. So, she hopes that through Bell she can gain more followers and eventually become well known all over the world. Secondly, Bell likes to get ahead of himself and tries to fight in dungeons that he knows he isn’t ready for which lead to the meeting of the famous sword princess, Aizu.
In the beginning, Bell finds himself going to deep into the dungeons and comes across a monster that almost killed him, but Aizu ended up saving him in the end. It was like love at fist bloody battle for him, after that he fell in love with her and he got even more fired up to become a famous adventurer and hopes to one day be able to fight along side her.
Oomori Fujino and Kunieda really did a good job on this manga so far and I look forward to see what happens next.
Thanks for Reading!
