Bonjour Sweet Love Patisserie

Pinterest.comHi everyone!

Did you think that I was going to disappear again for a bit? Well, if you did….your wrong. I’m still here and I plan to keep talking about the things I love with all of you for a long time.

Moving on, the next anime for today is a sweet show called, ” Bonjour Sweet Love Patisserie” made by Silver Link and Connect. Now, the first thing I thought when I looked at the title was too things and that is its going to in France and there are going to be a lot of sweets involved. Turns out, I was half right!

Sweets of all kinds are being shown throughout each episode (much to my satisfaction) and this show takes place in Japan not France. But, there is a cute and energetic dessert making teacher from France that shows up in the show often. He turns out to be my favorite character in the show because he’s so simple minded, hyper and cute as hell! So, if you think about I was right about the French thing and sweets.

In the show, it revolves around a sweet and shy girl names Sayuri Haruno who won a scholarship to an elite confectionery school where most of the students are from high society. Knowing that little bit kind of reminded me of Haruhi in Ouran Host Club where she was also a scholarship student in an elite school. So, when I thought  along those lines I kind of assumed the comedy was going to be similar. The show was funny, but in a different sense than what you would see in Ouran Host Club. Anyway, she’s a scholarship student trying to become best pastry chef around like her father before.

I think Sayuri’s parents might be dead. The reason being that you never actually see them; you only see them in the family photo twice in the entire show with both of their faces glared out by the sun. Also, she never mentions them or talks about them and the subject never comes up in the show, so I don’t know for sure if their really dead or not. It might reveal that in the manga because the show ain’t giving nada and you know why?

IT’S BECAUSE EACH EPISODE IS EXACTLY 5 MINUTES LONG!!!

You heard me right, each episode is only five minutes and I can’t think of a reason why it would be. As you all can probably guess it didn’t take me long to go through all 24 episodes. For me, who expects an anime episode to at least last 20 to 30 minutes this was a bit of weird change to me. Everytime I thought something else would happen the credits would pop up, so I felt the episodes were incomplete.

Nevertheless, it was still I good short no matter how ridiculously short the episodes were. If you want to know more details than the anime gives you than feel more than free to read the manga or even play the mobile game from which the anime originated from. It’s a cute little story with several good looking guys making sweets that made my mouth water. If we had the technology, I would have stuck my hand in the tv and grabbed all the sweets they made.

If you’re looking for an adorable show to kill the time and are in love with sweets like I am (and the guys of course!) then I think you should try watching this show.

Thanks for Watching
