Ao No Exorcist Crew

Last time, I didn’t get to talk a lot about the characters in the anime Ao No Exorcist, except for the twins and the father. So, I’ll talk about them now. I start with the sweetest and gentlest character, Shiemi.

Shiemi is the daughter of a herb shop owner and this is where Yukio and probably other exorcists come for supplies. Shiemi decides to attend True Cross Academy after an incident with a demon that lived in her garden that almost killed her. This girl is extremely shy and doesn’t have any friends because she used to spend all of her time tending to her garden and because of this some people like to take advantage of her kind nature.

I thought that it was good that Yukio and Rin because she would have been in some serious trouble. Speaking of the twins, I can’t really tell if she’s in love with Yukio or Rin or both of them but we’ll see as time goes on.

Next is Ryuji who is also a student at True Cross Academy. Now his personality kind of shocked me because when you first look at him, he looks like another thug uses intimidation to get what he wants. Actually, not only is he rich but amazingly smart which flip most people out especially Rin. Those two become rivals and end up hating each other’s guts, but I think they’ll end becoming the best of friends in the end.

Izumo is another student at the Academy. You can already tell that this girl has some issues to work out. First of all, this is a know it all and other than Noriko Paku, she has no other friends. Izumo is a really prideful person and loves to be the center of attention when she can get it. Apparently, she has a talent for taming other demons because apparently its a really rare trait to have. So, when Sheimi turns out to have the same talent as Izumo and has a more likeable personality than her, she makes it her mission to make Shiemi miserable.

Like I said before about people taking advantage of her kind nature, Izumo uses this to make Shiemi do whatever she wants and says that she’s supposed to if they want to be friends. Since, Shiemi has no experience in the friendship department, she blindly believes this. I felt so sorry for her during that time and I also wanted to know what was Izumo’s problem.

Nemu would have to be the laziest and weirdest student in the whole class. He never does anything and most of the time, he’s either playing video games or is talking to his hand puppet. You never know what this guy is thinking and I hope he does something awesome before the season ends.

Shura ends up becoming another wild twist in this awesome anime. First of all, in the beginning all he did was playing video games and ignore everybody. He wouldn’t talk to nobody. Secondly, it at turns out that not only can Shura kick ass, but is actually a she! And a hot she, at that! Shura was an inspector ordered to watch Rin to see if he was a threat or not to their cause. Later, she becomes one of the new teachers to teach the class. I really like her, she’s got a lot of spunk and likes giving off that tough girl attitude. For some reason, she likes wearing a bra and shorts all the time, no matter the weather and has a sword magically come out of her chest.

The person last person I think I’m going to talk today is Director Mephisto Pheles. This guy is a total mystery. This guy was one of my favorite characters, he was so funny and he kind of reminds me of a clown or a magician by how he dresses. The moment I saw him I knew he was a demon. The fangs, ears and the way he can transform himself kind of gave it away. Their are a lot of questions surrounding him like why is he helping the humans? What’s in it for him? Are Mephisto and Rin related somehow? If you want any of these questions to be revealed your going to have to watch the show.
