The Rising

I was so happy as I was reading the third and final book ‘The Rising’. The reason why would have to be because my wish was finally granted. Chloe’s group and Maya’s group finally meet in this book. I practically cheered when they finally came into the story.

How they ended up meeting was kind of funny. Maya ended meeting Derek in the forest, while both of them were in animal mode. You could say that their first meeting didn’t go over so well. Which ended leading to Chloe and Daniel having to come to the rescue. I wasn’t surprised when I read that scene. Chloe’s group was also still on the run and Derek probably thought that she was some kind of supernatural assassin.

Now, for people who have yet to read this book, I’m not going to ruin it for you. But, I will say that Maya’s love life takes some hits. Well, more than it endured during the last two books.

Also, what we already suspected about the reason for Serena’s death was confirmed.

Spoiler: Nicole killed Serena.

But, we’ve already knew this. I also liked seeing Nicole’s personality switches. She’s a very good actress and she fooled a lot of people thinking that she was innocent. If it wasn’t for the fact that, she probably didn’t know that she was switching from an innocent high school girl to an evil, self-centered and jealous killer. I’m not going to tell you what happens to her in the story because like I always say I don’t want to spoil anything to you.

I have enjoyed reading this entire series and I can’t wait to read more of Kelley Armstrong’s work in the future. The only thing that I wish would be to see a book about them years later. I really want to know how they ended up in the future. For example, who ends up with who, did they have kids, did any of them end up getting married or did any of them separate and try to be on their own? Unfortunately, there is no such book, so all we can do is use our imagination. I hope that you all enjoy this book and its awesome ending as much as I do.

Thanks for Reading!
