Today I’ll be talking about the movie, “COCO”, which was produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It revolves around a boy named Miguel, who is a part of a music hating, shoe making family. It all started when his great-great grandfather left his family to pursue his career in music and never returned. His wife hating him for leaving her alone to raise their only daughter by herself, banned music from the family and proclaimed that it was a curse that would one day tear the family apart.

Even though, music ruined their family a long time ago that still doesn’t stop Miguel from loving it with all his heart. After, discovering that a famous musician named, Ernesto de la Cruza, could possibly be his great-great grandfather, he somehow finds himself teleported to the land of the dead. In this place, he meets his dead relatives and a lot of other interesting characters.

If I had to choose who my favorite characters would be then it would have to be Alanna and Edward. Alanna is that head strong woman who loves her family will do anything for them. Try not to get on this woman’s bad side though, if her fierce temper doesn’t get you then her giant panther guardian will.

I liked Hector in this story because even though he looked like a bum at first glance it turns out that he’s got a heart of gold. During the movie, he always made time for other people and helped them out even when no else would in return. It was sad to see that no one could help him out to his see his family because his photo had been removed years ago. Now, he’s super desperate because he’s starting to become forgotten by the living. In the Land of the Dead, when everyone in the living world has forgotten you then you pretty much cease to exist in the afterlife.

That’s a scary thought which is why the living put in a lot of effort to remember them for one night which they call ‘The Day of the Dead’.

This movie is really heart warming and exciting. It shows that family is everything and you don’t know how important it is until its gone. One of things I loved in this story was all the art in colors. Also, there is a twist in the story that I never some coming which is something because I’m pretty good at predicting what happens in movies. I won’t tell you what happens in this adventurous story your just going to watch it for yourself. I enjoyed it and I hope you will, too.
