Then look no further ladies and gentlemen go ahead and join Doki Doki Literature Club! It’s a girly and cute dating sim game that also happens to be a hidden horror game which was developed Team Salvato. It’s about a guy who joins the literature club with some convincing from his best friend, Sayori. Sayori is the positive airhead type of girl where nothing bad could ever happen.

Anyway, you think at first that this a simple dating sim game and your goal is to make all the girls fall in love with you. If those are your thoughts then your dead wrong! You not only have to get all the girls to fall in love with you, but you have to make the right choices in order for them to stay alive. One wrong move on your part could lead one of these lovely ladies to their deaths.

I was so shocked at the first death that I didn’t even know what to do with myself. Then, when the shock went away I tried to load my last save and save her from dying, but as if the game itself knew I was going to do that it took away my recent saves as if it was saying MWHAHAHAAHAHA NOPE!!! After that things get really weird and creepy really fast and at that moment you know you screwed up.

I don’t want to spoil too much of the game for you guys, but if you’re not interested in playing it then go ahead and enjoy these reactions to Sayori’s death in the video below. I will say that this is a very good game with the developers intent of making a thinking out of the box type game. I’ve never had game mess with me so much. Every time you think its over it’s not going to happen for a while it happens out of nowhere as if it knows when you put your mental guard down.

If I had a favorite character for this game it would have to be a tie between Natsuki and Yuri. The reason being is that I liked Yuri and I made her my first target in getting her to fall for me, but Natsuki’s way of thinking was very in sync with my own, so I liked her a lot, too. If you are one of the faint hearted gamers out there then this game isn’t for you because there are a ton of jumpscares in this, so if you’re not into that then I wouldn’t recommend it. If you are then please enjoy these beautiful girls in this screwed up game.
