Secret Life of Pets

I bet everyone wonders what their pets do when they’re gone. Some pet parents put up cameras or let someone else babysit them but most of us like the mystery of wondering what they do when we turn our backs. This is why I liked this movie so much when it came out.

This movie was made by Illumination Entertainment and it centers around a dog named Max. He’s super attached to his owner and can’t stand it when she leaves for work or for anything else that he can’t be involved with. It was because he thought about his owner all the freaking time that he never really noticed the cute and hyper Gidget who had a serious crush on him. One day, everything changes for Max when his owner suddenly decides that he needs a playmate so she ends up adopting Duke who is a huge and hairy dog that doesn’t know his own strength. Immediately, the two hate each other but that’s mostly because Max was being so mean to him and wasn’t giving him a chance. Basically, Duke had no choice at that point but to use his size and intimidate Max into behaving…..or at least try.

After, this movie is over you kind of start to wonder if your pet has similar adventures when your gone. I sadly don’t have any pets with me right now so I don’t have to wonder but I think it would be cool to find out later that my pet did all of these things and still managed to get back inside the house in time to greet me when I get home. This movie is really sad, funny and heart warming at the same time as you watch two different types of characters get along when the odds were against them. Its one of those opposites attract type deal.

If you an animal lover, pet owner or just love watching hilarious animation movies then this movie is for you. Watching this movie will definitely make your day just a little bit brighter….that is if you can get over the sad stuff in the movie first. Hope you guys enjoy this movie and its furry characters.

Thanks for Reading!
