Danganronpa Legacy Continues

A long time ago, I talked about the game Danganronpa and the second game, as well. Well, this time, I’ll talk about the third game, too. Also, I’ve been hearing that an exciting fourth game is going to come out sometime soon in January of next year. I’m really excited to see what they end up brining to the table this time around considering what happened last time in the second game.

In case some of you didn’t know or remember what happened in the last game. The last surviving students of the killing game, eventually, discover that their in a virtual world and the mastermind, Junko Enoshima, is trying to download her mind into their bodies so she can control the world in different bodies. Together we end up destroying her once and for all and get released from the virtual world.

It was a very nice ending and all, I really enjoyed the second game but those two games left behind a lot of questions that needed answering and luckily for us the game’s developers decided give us some answers with the game Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls. I really liked this game because it was different from the last two game because this one was an adventure/shooter game. Also, it not only shows how the chraracters from the previous game are doing but it fills a lot of holes that were left behind by the two last games. So, that was pretty good.

Ultra Despair Girls was happening after the first killing game in the first game was over. One of questions left behind in the game was…..what happened to Makoto’s family? Not going to reveal what happened to all of them but his sister Komaru is the main character in this game as she tries to survive the city filled with killer robots and homicidal children. This shooter game is a real nice change of pace with a story just as good as the other ones.

Moving on from that, we have the upcoming release of a fourth game. When I heard this I was wondering what was going to happen since the mastermind is dead and her successor went away. But, once I saw the cover I already had a guess what was going to happen, you see the little girl a little more grown up on the cover, so it looks like she’s going to return to wreak havoc and have one last showdown. I’m telling you guys I’m so excited about this game and you already know that I’m going to one of the first people to buy this game the moment I find out that its out.

Karneval

The anime called, “Karneval”, is exactly what it intended it to be while I was reading it, A big freaking carnival.

The story starts out with a thief named Gareki whose intention was to break into a rich lady’s house and steal all her priceless possessions. You the usual thing that thieves do. But, what he didn’t expect to find was a clueless white-haired and red-eyed boy named Nai and the rich lady he was stealing from to be a crazy, psychotic monster.

I wasn’t just calling her a monster to say that she was a bitch…..well she was that too, but that’s not the point. She was actually a REAL monster in disguise who tried to kill the both of them. Anyway, after that Gareki and Nai were practically inseperable after they made a deal with each other.

Nai was a clueless boy who knows nothing about the world or himself. All he knows was that a guy named Karuko was taking care of him when one day he mysteriously vanished and never returned. The only thing he left behind was a Circus ID bracelet which Gareki now wants. But, Nai says if he helps find Karuko then he can have it which leads to them traveling together.

I loved watching these together because Nai’s naïve and clueless nature drove Gareki up  the wall. Gareki can get easily annoyed and his annoyance level hits the rooftops when they meet Circus. Circus is an elite organization that goes after highly wanted criminals with special abilities like the rich monster lady in the beginning. Everything about Circus reminded me of an Alice and Wonderland themed Circus. Their organization also performs for the people to let them know that their mission was an success.

Speaking of people, my favorite person in Circus would have to be Yogi. His happy and go lucky attitude gets on Garkei’s nerves so much he practically goes crazy with anger everytime that Yogi is around. Also, Yogi apparently has a whole other personality that is only awakened when he’s near death. They call him ‘Silver Yogi’ when he’s like this. The regular Yogi is a grown playful child and Silver Yogi is like a child that has some serious trust issues. But, their both awesome in their own ways.

Theirs so much mystery and action spinning around this anime that I can’t get enough of it. Its like every time a question is answered another one arises right after. I would definitely recommend this and yes it is also a manga and an anime so you could enjoy both if you want. I hope you enjoy this action packed fantasy world as much as I did.

Conception 2: Children of the 7 Stars

pushsquare.comThe game Conception 2 is for the Nintendo 3DS and it mostly centers around a boy who you can whoever but I chose to leave the name as it was, so we’ll say his name is Wake. Twenty years ago, dark circles appeared out of nowhere all around the world. Eventually, they were called Dusk Circles and the monsters that crawled out of them and terrorized the people were called The Dusk.

I solution was quickly gathered when the Star God that they worship chose certain people to acquire special powers to fight off these monsters. These people are called Disciples and they would know that they were chosen by the Star God when a brand would suddenly appear on their body. Then, they get shipped off to the Academy where they get trained and educated.

When Wake gets their though and takes the exam to find out which rank he’s supposed to be in, he’s in for a surprise. I won’t spoil it for you, but it wasn’t what I was thought it was going to be. Usually, when I’m playing a game I can pretty much guess what’s going to happen next, but looks like I was a little off on this one.

Back to the game, other than fighting monsters with their special powers and sealing away Dusk Circles, they have another job. That’s to create as many Star Children as possible. Now, this is where this RPG game starts to feel like your playing a sim dating game. Apparently, you have to woo all this girls in order for you and her to participate and complete the ‘ritual‘ as they call it.

They try to sugar coat what you’re looking at during the ritual, but we all know what this is and I find it quite funny how the characters explain it like it’s not what it looks like. But, then his friend, Chlotz, says that he’s jealous of him because Wake has the excuse to say that its his duty to help make as many Star Children as possible.

Star Children to me are like those little fairies that like to follow you around everywhere, except these are actually helpful in a fight. Also, they are absolutely adorable and what kind of child you can end up with is almost random……almost.

The only thing that’s in your control is a type of child you want. You want to be a swordsman, magician, grappler, etc.

The story is actually pretty good. I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to see what will happen next in the game and what will happen in the end.

Love So Life

The manga called,” Love So Life” is about a 16 year old girl named Shiharu whose dream was to someday own her own daycare center. Her only problem was that she was an orphan and saved up every penny she earned working part time at a local daycare. Basically, she worked and went to school all the time and didn’t really have a social life unless you count her playing with the kids.

Until one day, a guy named Seiji asks her to work for him to take care of his twins, Akane and Aoi because they seemed to like her a lot and only listen to her. He also offered double the pay which was an added bonus to her and she quickly took the job and I was glad she did. Turns out the twins don’t listen to him, at all. They stay up all night, they keep cluttering up the house with their toys, cry for no reason, get into fights with each other, etc.

Plus Seiji is a popular TV announcer who really cares about his image when it comes to work, but the moment he gets home his body shuts down and he can barely make it to bed before he collapses. Which is really funny to watch in this manga because sometimes he will actually try to stay awake and try to talk to Shiharu, but his sudden mood change just ends up scaring the girl to death.

If you’ve read a lot of manga like I have then what was going to happen in this story was pretty much obvious to me. She was going to fall in love with Seiji, gets too attached to the twins and probably become a happy unofficial family. And what love story wouldn’t be complete without a love rival, so I wasn’t surprised when they put the hot headed, Noa, into the story who secretly had a crush on Shiharu.

The only reason why I kept reading it was because it was so heart warming and that the twins are so adorable and love reading what they would do next.
