Ouji to Majou to Himegimi

This manga is about a girl, who I thought was a boy when I first saw her, named Subaru. She used to go to school at a all girls school until she found out that her dad was back in town and wanted to move closer to him. So, now she’s moving to a co-ed school and now lives next door to her old childhood friend, Megumi.

Megumi seems to be a little off sometimes because you don’t what he’s thinking. Sometimes, he would say and do things randomly like where pink or suggest seafood as good bedroom decoration. But, then later he would at serious and cool like he’s always been that way. I find him to be really funny.

Anyway, when she goes to this school she gains the attention of the three most popular guys at school, that also happen to be Megumi’s best friends. They tell her that she was a handsome womanizing prince in a past life that let the princesses that were after his heart start a war over him. This making a local witch get mad at him and curse him to be reborn as a woman over and over. The only way to break the curse is to fall in love with her true love.

Also, the curse also effected the princesses, as well. But, they got turned into boys and they remember all of their past lives except Subaru. She only remembers one fragment of her past life, but hasn’t really connected the dots yet.

So, now all three of the guys are competing for her love, so they can get finally break the curse. The three princes are Reiji, Ibusaki and Mashiro. Reji is the reincarnation of Cinderella and I would have to say that he is my favorite out of the three. This loves to bully people especially, Subaru and everyone but her doesn’t mind it one bit. If you really think about it, his personality makes a lot of sense. He’s the reincarnation of Cinderella who was mistreated by her step-mother and step-sisters for a long time. So, I guess when she got reincarnated she decided it was time for a little payback.

Ibusaki is the reincarnation of Thumbelina. He’s super cute and happy go lucky or he likes playing that off really well. If theirs one thing you don’t want to do its pissing him of because suddenly he’ll go from innocent bystander to kick ass martial artist. He displayed some of that in the beginning of the story when they saw some guys dump water on top of Subaru’s head. For some reason, this character kind of reminds me of Honey in Ouran Host Club.

Last but not least, their is Mashiro who is the reincarnation of Sleeping Beauty. We all know who Sleeping Beauty is, she’s the princess who was loved by animals and got poisoned by eating an apple which caused her to go into an eternal sleep. His personality didn’t surprise me at the least, but his love for apples did. You would think that after what happened last time in his past life that he would stay from apples, but he’ll eat anything apple flavored. This guy is an air head and always looks like he’s about to fall asleep, but miraculously he pays a lot of attention to what he’s doing and animals love to be around him.

If you asked me who I think will win her heart, I think it would be Megumi. That’s because he’s her childhood friend, looks out for her and I think that eventually he’s going to become a little jealous after seeing these three around her for so long. This manga right now is incomplete and I can’t wait to see who Subaru will end up choosing.
